Kevin Sumlin?

Hopefully Jerry's getting to know him well this week. ;)

Seriously, I don't know much about him or how well he'd translate to the pros, but he seems like a guy you'd like to play for.

I've seen him his whole career but tonight he reminded me of Mike Tomlin.

I like it. And I hate A&M.

I like Sumlin a lot.

I've decided not to get my hopes up on him though. I can't see Jerry doing that.

I am not Aggie fan from past years in the big 12. But I maybe leaning that way now. Kevin may want to coach in cowboy stadium full time. Jerry this hire would make you the GM of the year.

I've had my eyes on him since they upset Alabama!

It would be an out the box move, too bad for us, Jerry isn't an out the box thinker.#Gruden

Sumlin done a great job and being an Aggie it's great to finally feel good about Aggie football again.

Johnny looks good playing in Cowboy Stadium, maybe we should reserve a locker for him, just in case! ;)

just give me Johnny and those 5 NFL Olineman.

I'd take the oline, not sold on manziel in the nfl just yet

Sumlin is a horrible coach, he can't make it in the NFL. All he does is play golf while seniors run practice. I swear I don't know how we won 11 games in the SEC with such a slacker... leave him in College Station

I don't think any NFL franchises would make the outside the box move to hire someone like Sumlin. He only has 5 years of head coaching experience and has no NFL experience. Same thing with Chip Kelly who has 4 years of head coaching experience with no NFL ties.

Jerry did make outside the box moves when he hired Jimmy Johnson who had no NFL experience. He did have 10 years of head coaching experience at the time, but was never an assistant at the NFL level. Even Jason Garrett can be considered outside the box as he was very raw as an assistant coach with no head coaching experience.

I would keep my eye on David Shaw of Stanford once he gets a few more years of head coaching experience under his belt. He has been an assistant in the NFL.

Yeah, I did. Didn't see 11 SEC games.

And I didn't say 11 SEC games, I said 11 games in the SEC. Anyone with knowledge of college football schedules would understand my statement.
