Dez Bryant
Morris Claiborne
Greg Hardy
Mackenzy Bernadeau
Rolando McClain
Jeremy Mincey
Tyrone Crawford
Ron Leary
James Hanna

First thing the Front Office needs to ask is who stays and who goes.

Quick break down of how I see it:

Stays
Dez Bryant
Tyrone Crawford

Maybe Stays
Greg Hardy
Mackenzy Bernadeau
Rolando McClain
Jeremy Mincey

Probably Goes
Ron Leary

Definitely Goes
James Hanna
Morris Claiborne

Anyone on the maybe stays to definitely goes list should be considered for trades. Leary and Hanna should especially be looked at for trades.

I'd like to keep McClain, but the rest can probably go. Can't envision a scenario in which we keep Hardy long term. Maybe if one of our other ends busts. Bernadeau maybe stays as cheap depth. Mincey is a hard sell especially if he does well this year.

Priority 1 is re-signing Bryant followed by Crawford followed by McClain.

Have to Keep
Dez & Crawford

I'd love to Keep
Hardy & McClain

Let the rest of the guys earn it, especially that Claiborne guy

Hardy is probably a luxury we won't be able to afford.

Probably. If Gregory pans out, he won't be needed as much. Hopefully we have a good read on how Gregory and Lawrence look as bookends for a good chunk of the season to make a good sound decision. Hardy will be very sought after and well paid if he comes back successfully.

We'll be able to afford him. Question is merely whether we'll want to. If we signed him and Dez to long term contracts in 2016 we'd actually save money on the 2016 cap relative to what we're spending against the 2015 cap today, and we already have a pretty nice cushion for the 2016 cap.

Assuming no issues arise, I think we get Dez, Hardy and Crawford into long term deals and let the rest, including McClain, walk. If Claiborne plays decently he'll get a contract and we'll cut Carr which would more than pay for Claiborne's contract.

The only reason why we might be able to afford him is because I don't think we will be players in free agency next year.

And what happens when we need to pay Frederick and Martin? Looking at 16 million between the two of them at least.

Franchise Dez for two year and then say good bye

Keep Crawford at a team friendly deal but the rest are gone..

if we keep getting it right this year, the best FAs out there will be our own anyway.

and i'm ok with that. :)

Yes, in 2017 and 2018 at the earliest. In football terms, that's a long time away.

I guarantee you if we let Hardy go, that he will end up at a division rival. That little troll in Washington is chomping at the bit to copy whatever we're doing.

I am hoping Claiborne is watching recent events and a giant chip on his shoulder is growing and that he does something about it this season.
