IMO- Key question going into tonight’s game after that embarrassment last week:
  • Will this team get up off the mat and counterpunch or will it just stay on the mat for the count?
One of the good signs with Big Mac at the helm is since 2021, his teams are 8-1 after a loss.
I don’t know what happens tonight but whatever happens, it will say a lot about this team’s character and identity. The body language I saw last Sun in SF was of a team that is psychologically damaged. Will they right themselves and show some pride or are they doubting themselves and the coaches they play for?

Even if this team loses and at least fights hard, I will have some hope. This has been one of the softer teams in this league for far too long. If we get a similar prep and effort as we saw last Sunday night, this team will go into the bye with some even bigger questions. These guys need to show some fight tonight or we can question everything about it.

They had swagger and confidence going into the game. As the game went on they looked like someone after the first hit in the face from Mike Tyson. Pretty much every team has games like that, unless they go undefeated, which rarely happens. They need to pick up the pieces and continue with the plan, making any adjustments that are necessary.

Yep. This is why I used the “counterpunch“ analogy. Are they going to take more abuse or dish out some in return?

Their record under MM coming after a loss is something like 10-1, I believe. They’ll be ready.
i don't think that's accurate i mean how could that be after 2020?? since 2021 i can see that,,,, we lost lots of games in a row in 2020

Exactly - we have two teams in one. Or a team with a split personality, if you like. The steamrolling' butt whooping team that is 3-0 and the no account, no shows that are 0-2. Who do we get tonight?
I think with SF and Philly both losing yesterday, this is a must win to keep close to both - especially Philly. A win and we are only one game back of them with 2 head-to - head games remaining with them. Lose, and its 2 games back with a continuing tough part of the schedule after the BYE.

Yeah, you’re right. Maybe it was since 2021. I definitely heard it somewhere.

correct i just checked they lost multiple games in a row three times in 2021 2 -2 game losing streaks and 1-4 game losing streak..that blows that stat up :) but yes sine the end of 2020 MM got the team on track as they finished 4-3 the last 7 but more impressive 3-1 the last 4... after all that mess he got this team on t at track to get us to b2b 12 win seasons..

ok 2021 only 1 b2b loss , 2022 NONE.. so either 10-1 or 8-1 still impressive post loss records..

For me some things i am going to watch:

- will Parsons again give up when he is taken out of the game by a good offensive blocking scheme ?

- how will CD handle the bad play at QB position? will he again give up ? how long will it take for him to call out the QB?
Remember we already lost 2 really good WRs because of the incompetence at the main position.

- how will Cook respond to the way they use him? A 1k WR every year now looks like a 2nd stringer production wise.

....I feel how Cle and NYJ handled their business. Dallas will handle theirs.

Yep, when you get punched in the mouth, how you respond as a team says a lot about your character.
So far whats been revealed has not been pretty.

I think I’m less concerned about how they respond AFTER a loss than I am about how they respond DURING a loss. In both of their losses, there seemed to be an inability to pivot from the game plan, and make adjustments to get things back on course during the game. That is the most concerning thing to me.

The biggest issue/concern is this team is great front runners

There has been 0 lead changes in 5 Dallas games.

They either get out front and roll or have trouble getting the lead back.

NYG -blocked FG then steamrolled
NYJ - Opening drive TD, didn’t look back
Arizona - Scored on opening drive and never trailed
NE - Scored early and dominated
SF - Scored on opening drive and never trailed

8-1 after a loss. Didn't know that. Impressive.

This team feels different though. Of course a win can change that but they do seem out of it. I guess we will know more today if they continue to come out flat and get punched in the mouth.
