CFZ Key question to me about this Cowboys team going into tonight

We have to realize these are elite athletes who have dominated their sport at every level until now. It is now that the burn of defeat will motivate them to be better and once again dominate like they had in other contests this young season. Win or lose, my guess is tonight we will see a team playing with more urgency and chip on their shoulder with the added benefit of having been thrust right back into the thick of the NFC race with the two big losses that happened to the last of the undefeated yesterday.

All the chatter about tanking or trading for an elite draft pick or a divided locker room is strictly fodder for fans and pundits. We are only in October of this young season and every team in the league is still fighting for relevance, even if that means just showing up and leaving it all on the field.

I hope McCarthy puts in some motion on offense, Ithink that would help alot.
Lamb is really effective on motion routes. Most WR’s are more effective. That’s why teams use motion so much. I don’t get why we don’t

The Cowboys game tonight should not just be about attitude-
but also performance.
Offense:
- in and out of the huddle quickly
- line up correctly; motion players move efficiently \ get set
- blocks maintained, routes run precisely
- no mental gaffes or bad moves that result in penalties
- play until the whistle is blown
Defense:
- know assignments - starters and rotation guys
- be aware of the situation- down & distance, juncture of the game
- communicate when the opposing offense throws in a wrinkle or unusual formation
- avoid getting caught up in personal, one-on-one battles that too often result in personal fouls = penalties that give the opposition an advantage
-play until the whistle is blown
Great post.

It wasn’t pretty but the Cowboys answered the bell tonight with a gutty win. They did not play great but they did fight. And won.
