Okay, let's try this again. I'm not here to personally insult you, that's not my style. The fact is that the 'Boyz are in a fight right now with Philthy at 7-7, with a clearly superior team.

What I'm trying to establish is if the current coaching staff can accentuate their strengths and ignore their weaknesses.

Because he's not the best coach in recent era and what exactly is "recent era" anyway? The advent of television? That would be Landry. Within the last twenty years" That would be Johnson. This decade? I'd give it to Parcells for reasons that are obvious.

I still maintain that Wade Phillips is NOT the right head coach for this team. The fact is that there are at least five current/former coaches that could easily deliver us to the promised land (and Wade isn't one of them) is immaterial. I'm actually more irked that none of you could intelligently argue my reasoning (which did not include facts that were already established adnauseum on this forum in years past). Instead, a lot of you deferred to homerism as part of your reasoning - and that just isn't good enough.

I have more respect for people who are capable of arguing from both sides of the coin and intelligently making a choice on the side that they choose rather than being a blatant homer. If you lack the comprehension skills on either side, then clearly you have no business replying with an opinion at all.

The most surprising thing is that none of you asked me which coach was the best choice for our team.

A choice I have already made.

The bottom line is that you CANNOT state an obvious problem regarding this team unless you're able to provide a solution - the only exception to this is when said opinion points out the problem and makes known the inability to solve it (e.g. "Our special teams S-U-C-K but yet I don't know who we can hire to correct it or which player should be on it").

And that, theo, would be the wrong reply. If you're a fan of this team then you must realize what would be best for it. You cannot allow your love for the Cowboys to become clouded/skewed by past great players or great former head coaches.

And Coach Wade is certainly not the latter.
