Is anyone else tired of seeing this guy return kickoffs and looking like he's got cement blocks on his feet... I'm ready to see Austin as the lead return guy, looks like he chomping at the bit to do so!

the coaches keep it the way it is for a reason

also thompson is very very consistant on his returns he pretty much always gets the same distance ever return, and he breaks one for 40 plus every now and again, I like him as the returner

I cuss every time he receives the kick. He is no threat to ever break one. For all his speed all he does is jog up there and find the tacklers to bring him down.

Just out of curiosity, how many returns for a TD have we managed over the last few years?

IT's strange cuz he didn't do that last year. He almost broke like 2 or 3 last year.

Wade must be making him run like a robot.

No, he didn't. Last year before he got hurt he ran hard. He still had no wiggle, but he ran hard.

Damn Wade. :banghead:

because he's a local boy with lots of speed, we hoped he'd turn into some kind of fairy tale hero.

but he is what he is: a third running back and a kick returner who doesn't make a lot happen, but who doesn't make mistakes either.

now, that's not bad. you need guys like that. you need some special players, but there are so many other positions that are more important, i don't mind if our third running back and kick returner is just okay. (if our No. 1 receiver were just okay but our third running back and kick returner were special, i'd say something was wrong with the way the team was constructed.)

tyson's skill set has gotten him a great job for a few years, and it might keep him in the nfl for a few more. not a bad deal for him at all.

if someone better comes along, though, dallas will thank tyson very much for his efforts and send him on his way. (and we fans will all be happy to have something better.)

AND, if someone better were already on the squad, they'd be playing and tyson wouldn't. it's that simple.

If only life were that simple.

So going by your belief, Romo wasn't better then Bledsoe last year till week 6?

Barber isn't better then JuJo?

Barry Sanders wasn't better then Thurman Thomas at OkSt?

C'mon, it's not that simple.

I just hope Austin gets more touches on kick returns. He did just as good (avg) as TT last year and he added a TD in the playoffs.

It's nice that we're worrying & moaning about our KR "situation" rather than our offense or defense this year.....

I'd like to see him try a right return just once. He runs straight left every time. He might surprise the other team and actually make it past the 30.

my wife helped me realize this week that every time he's back there ready to receive a kick I say...out loud... "don't fumble TT".

TT is very tentative, especially since fumbling against the Giants on Mon. night. Austin is MUCH more explosive, faster and looks like a natural. I hope things change.
