said on 105.3 we were fine on DL and that he was looking for LBs.

I mean, what do you guys want to add other than depth?

Ware, Hatcher, Ratliff and Spencer seems pretty good to me. Crawford, Lissemore and Wilbur seem like reasonable depth even though I'm not sold on any of them as a pass rusher.

I do want us to add some help on the pass rush, but it seems like we already have 4 starters up front.

Considering I always felt Ratliff was out of place at NT, I'm actually excited to see how he does at DT.

Ware hatcher Ratliff spencer

All going full steam to get the qb looks great to me 2 months ago

I wish they'd just draft some 370 lb. sack of turds, so people would shut up about a "big man in the middle."

Agreed.

In an era where the passing game is being taken to new levels, QBs with more athleticism, and elements of the pistol.....

People want to get slower, less athletic, and fatter up front.

I wish they would just do it so I could stop hearing about the need for a fatty mcfatterson

I think Ratliff will be more efficient if he's given less snaps to keep him fresh. Should stay in on passing downs but maybe should give up some snaps to Lissemore on 1st/2nd downs.

I can't understand these people who just want to lock Hatcher and Ratliff into starting jobs and not give them any competition. Right now we've got a declining player who can't stay on the field in Ratliff, Hatcher who is just about average, and JAGs behind them. If you can't find a player in the draft to push those guys for a starting spot, you're drafting wrong.

I dont think we NEED a dt next year...I think we should go bpa when a player of that caliber falls...

Can't be true, the guy in the other thread said our whole front seven is terrible and injury prone, as well as ugly. They want the big fat turd who played for their home team in college. The turd has to be the best because his cousin went to high school with him.

At DT we're fine as of now (next year if they decide to let Ratliff/Hatcher go is another story). I'm not sold on our depth at DE though, it is even weaker than when we had Victor Butler (and it's not like it was strong back then too)

Well, if the DC says he's fine with the DL we've got and he wants LBs then I'll defer to the expert. No doubt we are too old at the position and have marginal depth, but there are more pressing needs to address for this year. LB in the 5th or FA?

I am thinking Albright makes the conversion from stand up OLB to DE. Don't know about Wilbur, may be too light to play DE.

I don't know that I'd want Ratliff off the field on pass downs... I'd almost prefer the reverse rotation.

Ratliff isn't declining at all, he may have trouble staying on the field for sure but his play isn't declining. He balled his arse off last year when he was able to play.

Kiff needs to look at age and contract situations before he claims we're ok there.
