I still can't figure how other teams don't realize this means Dallas is going to run.

Romo and Kitna said "Kill kill kill" twice in the last game and they audibled to a pass.

On one of the talk shows last year, they talked about this. IIRC, the kill signal is used when 2 plays are called in the huddle, and if Romo sees that a defense where the primary play won't work, he kills the first play and uses the other one.

They are also using Omaha this year, but don't know what that means. I know Eli uses Omaha all the time.

I believe that "Omaha" changes the snap count to "One". I've seen this used by many teams when the play clock is winding down. It immediately gets the entire offense on the same page for a quick snap-count.

Because, no matter how much you coach them to look at the play clock when you break, players will always be more focused on all the little aspects of playing their position and will forget to look. They all figure it's the QB's job to get the play off in time.

In every instance that I have seen it used, the ball was snapped on the first "hut".

You would think that that would give defenses the edge since they would figure that out very quickly, but defenses still have to stay honest.

If the QB sees defenses jumping on "Omaha", a simple huddle instruction of "go on two when I yell Omaha this time" would earn the Cowboys an easy five yards.

sometimes, I think they say it just to create confusion, and really it doesn't mean a damn thing.

Omaha is a pretty common football term for "off". Usually something that a team is planning on doing for part of a play but they decide not to do once they see the other team's formation.

Omaha and off both start with the letter O... get it?

The few times I noticed it watching the game today they ran a pass play each time.

That simply can't be. According to irate experts on THIS VERY site, that audible is to a run 100% of the time and the coaches are stupid for not recognizing it. [/sarcasm]

kill kill kill has been a favorite since Drew Bledsoe.

Drew Bledsoe used to 'kill kill kill' every third play. I don't think he knew what it meant.
Eh...Romo uses it quite a bit too. I think it just means different things for different formations/defenses.
