Anyone else get their new CD? Been following these guys since their first CD and they keep putting out good stuff. Distinctive voice and good old fashioned rock and roll. Hope they keep their **** together.

The drummer knows college football. He was the guest picker on College Game Day last week and he knew his stuff. I vowed to give them a listen because of that.

Weird usually people that have been following them since the beginning didn't like their new cd?

Only by the night paled in comparison to aha shaka, youth and young manhood, and even because of the times.

Guess I'm just weird. I like all of it.

I'm of the notion that very few bands actually play "Rock n Roll" these days. Over the past two decades there area a handful of good ones.....probably the most mainstream of them is Foo Fighters. Kings of Leon is pretty good...I'd say they qualify.

I saw their show in Virginia Beach las month....pretty good, but I actually liked the Black Keys better. That band is ******.

I like some of their older stuff alright. Don't dislike their recent music just didn't really get in to it. I haven't heard the newest one though.

Well, yeah, of course they're rock and roll. I'm really liking the new album. Luckily, there aren't too many radio songs in it, so I won't ever get completely pissed off when I hear their song due to it being overplayed.

The Black Keys are also one of my favorite current bands. I was severely disappointed when I saw them in concert though. I understand there's only two of them officially in the band, but for the love of god, please bring in someone to play bass during the concert. They actually did bring out other people to play about half way through the set and it was much better. But I kept wondering why the hell they actually tried to perform with just a guitar and drums for 30-45 minutes.

If you haven't seen Muse in concert, you should. Great concert.

Ever see the White Stripes? Only 2 people, but one hell of a show.

I do not like these guys. At all. Whiny primadonnas who have let the fame get to their head.

Which I could deal with if their last two albums didn't suck so bad (Specially only by the night)

I have not listened to the newest one, I guess ill get around to it eventually, but I really don't care. The first single was awful and I'm hearing its more of the same, so I dont really care.

And I did really like Aha Shake Heartbreak and Youth and Young Manhood, which makes it worse that they've strayed so much.

I very much support this statement in every way. Amazing concert when I saw them earlier this year. Ton of fun. I've seen them twice now (Once their own show, once opening for U2), and im seeing them again Friday. Can't wait.

I haven't seen any more shows this year that are really "rock" shows so much, but as far as just putting on a good show, LCD Soundsystem had the best concert of the year for me. They were so good and it was so much fun (Muse is 2nd on my list for concerts of the year). And the Flaming Lips put on a very very crazy and very very fun show that everyone needs to experience at least once.

I'm hoping they tour next year. Would love to see them. As well as the Strokes, Queens of the Stone Age, and Arctic Monkeys (None of which ive seen but I'd assume they'd put on same damn good rock shows)

I wasn't going to say i disliked them, but pretty much I agree with all you have said.

Danny on the Ticket has said this about them more than once.
