He's done a remarkable job for the Commanders and he has set up Daniels to succeed. The Commanders made a commitment to winning in the off-season and it is paying off for them so far.
On the other side of the field there is Ben Johnson. Sorry folks, I am out on him and his gimmicky offense and weird trick plays. That play with the WR throwing the ball downfield only to be intercepted could have cost them the game, and a trip to the Super Bowl. He has the best OL in football, great talent at the skill positions and he resorts to trick plays. Not for me.
But so far what I have seen is how important QB play is in the playoffs. Goff was awful under the pressure of the big game. Jayden Daniels seemed unaffected. The week before it was Sam Darnold falling apart while Matt Stafford and the Rams looks more confident and more determined.
I don't want to make this about Dak, but we have to consider if Dak is also incapable of rising to the occasion in the big games.
