Agreed with all you aid but that doesn't stop Jerry. Easley just sounds like a for sure 2nd or 3rd round pick for us. Lee, Carter, Murrey. Just fits what we do. 1st round talent that can be had in the 2nd or 3rd.

Also in this scheme we don't play to stop the run, we design our DL to stay in their gaps and stuff holes for LBs to make plays. DL are suppose to shoot gaps no matter of run or pass.

I partially agree and partially disagree. They do have less focus on stopping the run by the DL in this scheme than in most other schemes; however, they do still need to be able to be somewhat effective against the run. If the run was a non-issue, I don't think Hayden would be on the team. He is not really a pass rusher.

yes you have to have those bigger guys when its 2nd or 3rd and short to stop the run, but the base defense is suppose to penetrate the line and players are suppose to stay in their gaps, that will clog running lanes and free LBs.

Also Hayden wasn't a starter at the start of this season. It was Hatcher and Ratliff which are both under 305.
