Smith is a starter. And I won’t be surprised to see Schoonmaker starting as well. IMO it says a lot about what they think about Ferguson that they took this TE in round 2. Overshown is a player.

Maybe it's just me but it seems this draft is all about our division, especially the Eagles. Think about it, we currently have the worst DLine ( especially interior ) in the division. What we do about......draft a tech 1 with a 1st rounder, something we have not done since 1995. Our 3rd round pick drafted an LBer over RB. Hell, raise your hand if you it coming........TWO of our first three picks would be defense.

BTW......take a look at MM rosters with the Packers. You won't see a lot high drafted players .........his entire offense was based on Rodgers and his scheme.

What we do about......draft a tech 1 with a 1st rounder, something we have not done since 1995. Our 3rd round pick drafted an LBer over RB. Hell, raise your hand if you it coming........TWO of our first three picks would be defense.

BTW......take a look at MM rosters with the Packers. You won't see a lot high drafted players .........his entire offense was based on Rodgers and his scheme.

To me it looks like the draft is about Philly and San Fran.

Okay, so let's take the average of Kiper and McShay's scores, not to say that they are the draft Oracles, but just for an exercise.

Smith 34 drafted at 26 34-26=8 lost value points.

Schoonmaker 75 drafted at 58 75-58=17 lost value points

Overshown 92 (91.5) drafted at 90 92-90=2

So, according to Kiper and McShay, the Cowboys lost a total of 27 points. A total round in the draft is 32 points.

It's almost as if the Cowboys drafted an equivalent of a low 2nd, another low 2nd, and mid 3rd pick instead of a low 1st, low 2nd, and low 3rd.

I think it's easier than that. We lost Schultz and didn't replace him in FA. We lost Watkins and didn't replace him in FA. We lost Barr and didn't replace him FA. These were the positions we used our first three picks on.

All other positions, we added some kind of replacement: Elliott/Jones II, Washington-Hilton/Cooks, McGovern/Edoga, Brown/Gilmore. We didn't lose any DEs, Ss, QBs.
