12. Dallas Cowboys - Omarion Hampton RB North Carolina
No change from my Cowboys pick projection from my last mock draft. Hampton actually firmed up his first round case at the combine, running a 4.46 second 40 yard dash and leaping 10 feet 10 inches in the broad jump. He is a home run hitter who can spark something in this Dallas running game, which has been dormant for the last two campaigns. The Cowboys averaged 4.0 yards per carry over that time, tied for fourth worst in the league.

So even after signing Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders to low risk deals, I think the Cowboys could draft Hampton. He is the kind of difference maker they need at the position. He rushed for 3,164 yards and 30 touchdowns over the past two seasons.

29. Washington (Red)skins - Maxwell Hairston CB Kentucky
30. Buffalo Bills - Kenneth Grant DT Michigan
31. Kansas City Chiefs - Kelvin Banks Jr. T Texas
32. Philadelphia Eagles - Walter Nolen DT Mississippi

Hate that the Eagles add Nolen in this mock. If we don't take a DT, I want Harmon, Grant and Nolen gone before Philly's pick.

TRADE DOWN!!! I would even take a little less than true value for 12 if needed. All these after our pick at 12 and more???

Will Johnson
Shemar Stewart
Jihaad Campbell
Tetairoa McMillan
Derrick Harmon
Matthew Golden
Emeka Egbuka

I like the player, but I’m taking Harmon or Green (with plenty of due diligence because right now I think he’s a risk) and calling it a day.

Taking the 2nd best running back in the draft, in a stupid deep RB draft, just doesn’t make me feel great.

Pulling the trigger on Jeanty is much more tempting.

i will take Tmac or Green instead or even trade down and i like Hampton but he is no Jeanty

If Jeanty is available take him but if not, Hampton looks fantastic! We need a young, strong back to take the load off of Dak!

The Cowboys don’t have a legitimate starting running back on the roster, Hampton certainly has a chance to be the selection. I think we have a better wide receiver room, defensive tackle room, and cornerback room then what we have at the running back position.

Mcshay on youtube also thinks Hampton is better than Bijan and i think that is almost right,Hampton is bigger and slightly more explosive.

I know in his latest mock Jeremiah didn't have Hampton in Dallas but mentioned him as a possibility.

I would hate the pick. Not at 12. Even if he produced big early. It's about longevity. 4 or 5 years isn't worth a top 12 pick. You want a 2nd contract core player there.

Only Jeanty that high. I'm willing to gamble on greatness. There's nothing special about Omarion Hampton.

That's why you don't take a RB in the 1st. Even after a trade down I wouldn't do it.

With them losing Williams in FA, they will very likely end up taking a DT high in this draft.

They value the position. We do not.
