Kitna 129.6 Rating

Jerry and the front office get bashed for alot of stuff, but getting Kitna was a good move.

As a professional Jerry basher, I agree. A guy like Kitna is about the best you can expect to get for a backup QB, and it was a good deal.

At least one trade with Detroit worked out well.

The Steelers have some pretty good backups too. Their 2nd and 3rd sting QBs both looked like all pro QBs when they came in too.

If he was 5 years younger, we'd have a QB controversy.

You can have a QB controversy anyway... If we keep winning.

Whats funny is he is good, real good like Garrett was for us.

Yeah, maybe Kitna will fall flat and you can pound your chest and tell us all how right you are.

would be perfect if kitna ran the table and fired the torch in order to hand off to Romo. And then *******s like you would shutup......that would be a small consoluation while us Cowboys fans have greater things to look forward to.

I'm more than happy to admit I was wrong about Kitna. I thought he was old, slow and washed up. I said he'd be injured within two games playing behind our OL.

If I had a hat, I'd be eating it. Props to Kitna, he's done a great job as a backup in difficult circumstances.

Ditto. But I still think McGee could do well with this cast of players.

Don't you hate fans that can never enjoy a win. Makes me wonder if they are really fans.

That's because the agenda is more important than the win.

I knew kitna was a huge upgrade over Brad Johnson he might be the best backup qb playing in the league right now.

Kitna's also thrown as many passes in two games as Romo usually did in one.

The offensive line is playing football now. I wish we fired Wade after we were 1-3.

What protection are you talking about, I saw Kitna running for his life, so much so he scrambled for a TD. Just because some people want to justify Romo by saying the blocking is better, doesn't mean it's true. It's what you do when you're under protection, like tucking the ball and running with it, or throwing it away that matters.

What? 'Scrambling'? It's called a Bootleg.

BTW - that was a GREAT call.

hey i love the win and i love kitnas performance - just hate the over the top

win was mostly on the d for me though today - they bent at times and broke a little but made some big plays and stops

The D was AWFUL today in regards to coverage, save a couple of turnovers...

Detroit drove at will pretty much...

I thought they played better in the 2nd half than they did in the 1st, looked like they made some good adjustments.

They were only 2/6 on 3rd down in the 2nd half after being 8/12 in the first half.

We also got credit for 6 tackles for loss, 5 passes defensed and 8 QB hits, I'm guessing all 3 of those might be season highs for a game. And the run defense was solid for the 2nd straight week. The other good number is they drastically reduced the yds per attempt this week, down to 6.1. So while it was a high number of completions and comp%, the yds they were given up were good. They really only had one ball completed well downfield all game and that was because of what appeared to be a mistake by Sensabaugh.

how long did they spend on the field particularly through first 3 quarters though, they made the plays that mattered. After the first great drive, the o shut down for a long period

How am I no cowboys fan?

Read my post history _ I am pretty consistent that romo is the best player we have and that the oline would cost us bad which it has done all season. My point was not upset at kitna who is doing a great job but that two swallows do not make a summer.

 The O-Line play has been much improved lately. It's not even debatable. That TD by Kitna was not a scramble. It was a designed play on 4th and 1 that fortunately went to the house. Give the O-linemen some credit. They're not perfect, but they have played better under Garrett.

Romo had pretty decent OL play in a lot of his starts as well (Titans and Giants game excluded), so lets not blame the OL not playing for Romo, this team didn't really quit until Romo got hurt so that excuse is off the table.

Not saying Kitna is better but the Romo defense force is ridiculous some times trying to down play Kitna's play to make excuses for Romo

Kitna has never had this many great weapons. He is taking full advantage of it.

He played with Rudi Johnson, Ocho, TJ and Chris Henry though didn't he? Back when Rudi was actually good.

Why would anyone need to make excuses for Romo? He has a 94.9 rating this season.

ask the people doing it, as soon as someone says anything about how well Kitna is playing you see nothing but, "but but Romo didn't have this" or "Romo could have done that"

People might make certain points when other people make ludicrous claims about Romo not playing well or Kitna playing better, but that doesn't mean they're making excuses for Romo -- there's nothing to excuse. About the only thing you can blame Romo for this season is not catching the ball for his receivers and not playing defense.
