Reid learned a lot since those days. I would take a chance on any coach that worked with Reid as an OC. Reid is the best play designer in the game today. Pedersen took Reid's playbook and modified it for Nick Foles and won a Super Bowl (contrary to popular belief, it was not Frank Reich's baby). Now he took the dumpster fire left by Urban Meyer and has the Jags in the playoffs. I'll take a chance with Reid's OC without question right now.

Kingsbury was tied to Murray. Sort of a package deal. College offense figured out by NFL D coordinators.

But...could Dak adapt his game to the demands of a Reid offense?
How much has Reid learned and changed intrinsically and how much has having Mahommes masked his inmate nature? Mahommes allows KC to go pass happy if they want to without a lot of risk.

I’m not arguing against a Reid disciple an OC, but I see it more on the order of Belichick disciples - does Tom Brady come with them? I would much rather have someone from the Shannahan tree.

Reid gives Mahomes a good deal of freedom, but Mahomes has also had a few multi-interception games. Reid will sit for hours with Mahomes to break down game tape and pinpoint what went wrong on bad plays. I want someone like that.

Thoughts on him replacing Kellen.........I know Jerry he's a favorite of Jerry

2018

When Callahan came for Garret everybody was applauding. Then he got driven out of town for Linehan. Everybody applauded. Then he got driven out of town for Moore. Everybody was happy. Now the same old story. Its strange: Somehow good OCs seem to need just around 3 years of DC to forget everything they know about playcalling. Its like they have the DC dementia.

I for myself would rather keep coaching talent we have and look for the real root of the problem: A bum at the QB position.

Callahan has never again been in the OC role as he was in Dallas, before the Garrett/Linehan take over sent him elsewhere.

Since Dallas, he has always been in an OL coach role ,.. he got his feeling when he was demoted, but was never approached by any other NFL team for an OC role.

That tends to suggest the NFL world does not see Cally in the way as he wants to see himself, ..and he's come to accept the OL coach he's coveted for around the NFL.

Yup! He thought the OC position would be his stepping stone to another HC position. He still big mad!

I like him and I think he would utilize our weapons better, and manage the game better with the right play calls.
