Kliff is 1000 times more creative than Kellen Moore. IMO, he’s not HC material, but he’s a great OC. His offenses have always produced. His offenses are way less predictable and harder to prepare for. He would be a major upgrade here IMO.

Agree 100%.........Imagine Jerry promoting Quinn to HC and bringing in Kingsbury to run the offense.

Callahan has never again been in the OC role as he was in Dallas, before the Garrett/Linehan take over sent him elsewhere.

Since Dallas, he has always been in an OL coach role ,.. he got his feeling when he was demoted, but was never approached by any other NFL team for an OC role.

That tends to suggest the NFL world does not see Cally in the way as he wants to see himself, ..and he's come to accept the OL coach he's coveted for around the NFL.
You are nitpicking and dont get my point. Anyways here is an excerpt from wikipedia if you dont believe me.

"On June 4, 2013, Dallas owner Jerry Jones announced that Callahan would call plays on offense during the upcoming 2013 season, allowing head coach Jason Garrett to focus on game-management.[35] After being the offensive coordinator for the Cowboys during the 2013 season, he was stripped of his play calling duties."

Jerry will have to promote K Moore to HC first. Not a long shot proposition, IMO.

Yup! He thought the OC position would be his stepping stone to another HC position. He still big mad!

You guys are funny.

One writes Callahan never was a OC in DC. The other acknowledges with "Yup". And then in the following sentence condradicts what the first one stated.

Do you guys even read what others post ? Just a hint: for a serious discussion this would be helpful.

Ours has a no cut no trade Clause in writing and it still has years on it
So you try out another OC who will get run out of town again in 3 years because you can only do so much to help a guy without talent ?

I know Prescott has that clause. But it cant be the solution to blame good OCs for that. IMO you have to keep talent.

Comedy gold. To be fair, I had a Johnny Walker Blue night over the holidays (thank you Brother-in-Law) and I might have said some crazy stuff. Probably more coherent than that though.

Lol! Yup, was a response to his feelings being hurt. He was the OL/play caller here and was stripped. Cleveland and someone else asked to interview him for OC and were denied!

LOL.. It took Dak 1 week to throw a TD in training camp in year 3 and they've done everything to cater the offense to his skill-set and he still stares down his first read. They fired Linehan and now we want Dak, not the smartest tool in the shed, to learn a completely different offense, but still stare down his first read?

This team is all about 'consistency' for Dak...
Ha, only 1 poster (one of your Dak-hating bunch) 'liked' your dumb post!

Can we please just get someone from the Shanahan tree?

I wouldn't mind Anthony Lynn, his assistant HC and Running Backs coach, as our OC. He was our running backs coach, btw, from 2005-2006 under Bill Parcells. He'd out an emphasis on the run. He knows Jerry. He's from both the Shanahan (Kyle AND Mike as he was a RB for Mike behind Terrell Davis) and the Parcells tree. He'd be an excellent OC for us imo.

I mentioned this in the thread when he was fired.
Has to be better than Moore...hopefully with all the HC spots open, or will be open. Someone takes a chance on Moore...PLEASE....
It's critical!!!!
