Can't say I'm a huge fan of the guy , and don't know much about him , but he's a 28 year old Vet. that was a pretty good WR at one point of his career . Might be worth a look .

If you are suggesting we make a run at him then all I can say is no thank you. If Jerry wants to get a vet in here I can understand that. But we need a legit threat at WR and he isn't one.

He was pretty good about 4 years ago as a WR but then developed the dropsies and alcohol problems. He hasn't shown much outiside of KORs for awhile now.

Funny how those two things happened about the same time.

We already have a receiver with a bone-on-bone knee condition.

he's strictly a kick returner now, and we just got Felix Jones and Miles Austish is pretty good

I don't see the problem in bringing him in for a look. He was only a KR in GB because they are so stacked at wr.

That is the wr 1-3. When you have that covered, then yeah, you are stacked at the position. Koren wasn't going to catch much behind those 3.

I'm not saying he's a slam dunk or we should be scrambling to sign him, but I do think he's worth a look with the state of our current wr corps.

Man , I didn't say I wanted to sign him to a 5 year contract and give him the starting nod opposite of TO . All I said was give him a look . Would it really be that much to ask him to beat out Miles Austin ?

This is a type of guy is either going to be a boom or bust. In the right offense he could flourish. Before he was suspended, he and Favre were starting to get on the same page. Now that Favre is gone, and they developed other recievers, made him expendable. If our 4th reciever is going to be Hurd or Miles Austin I would give him a training camp tryout. I think I would pass too.

they spent a 1st on Jordy Nelson, so yeah, the 4 guy is supposed to see some action, and yet they decided to part ways w/ him

that should tell you alot, Green Bay runs alot of 5 receiver sets

I'll pass, if we are going to go get another guy, it better be a guy we know will stick.

I fail to see the issue.

If he's got anything to contribute, with the injuries we had last year at WR, he might have helped us as a 3rd WR.

I say give it a chance.

This really gets weird around here at times.

Two weeks ago, we were desparate for a vet WR and every one we looked at went somewhere else and we couldn't afford them, or teams wouldn't trade them, despite their baggage.

Because the team comes out and says we couldn't find a guy in the draft to draft high and that we are set at WR...do you guys just agree with that..?

I think it's nice to want to show confidence in what you think you are doing, but we all know nothing has really changed and the team really doesn't know if TG will play, Stanback won't re-injure himself or ever make the transition to WR and if Austin and Hurd where such obvious talents..

..would we have been trying to trade for Roy Willians or Boldin..?

Pleezz..

We need to look at every potential WR that MIGHT help us get better at the position.

And we are the halfway house for the downtrodden player, remember..?

Always have been.
