If anyone from our organization even thought of him as an option; that person should be fired.
The Mod's should have a filter to block such posts.
I pains me ho have to respond.
Trash is trash, just because a player was average 5-6 years ago doesn't mean we should look at them!

His career as a WR is probably over. Or he could go to the Vikes and drink with Jared Allen, or open a bar with Colts WR Harrison.

they spent a 1st on Jordy Nelson, so yeah, the 4 guy is supposed to see some action, and yet they decided to part ways w/ him

that should tell you alot, Green Bay runs alot of 5 receiver sets

Jordy was a 2nd round pick. And I know that their 4th and 5th wrs get some action, but that doesn't mean they have to be all that great, just competent.

All the release of Koren tells me is that he wasn't in their future plans(esp with drafting of Nelson), so they cut him.

Maybe it's because he sucks(doubtful). Maybe it's his character. Maybe it's because he was Favre's guy and now Brett is gone. Maybe GB just wanted him to have a chance to catch on somewhere else like they claim. I tend to believe the latter but at this point it's all just speculation.

I fail to see the issue.

If he's got anything to contribute, with the injuries we had last year at WR, he might have helped us as a 3rd WR.

I say give it a chance.

This really gets weird around here at times.

Two weeks ago, we were desparate for a vet WR and every one we looked at went somewhere else and we couldn't afford them, or teams wouldn't trade them, despite their baggage.

Because the team comes out and says we couldn't find a guy in the draft to draft high and that we are set at WR...do you guys just agree with that..?

I think it's nice to want to show confidence in what you think you are doing, but we all know nothing has really changed and the team really doesn't know if TG will play, Stanback won't re-injure himself or ever make the transition to WR and if Austin and Hurd where such obvious talents..

..would we have been trying to trade for Roy Willians or Boldin..?

Pleezz..

We need to look at every potential WR that MIGHT help us get better at the position.

And we are the halfway house for the downtrodden player, remember..?

Always have been.

big name-itis strikes again

I stand corrected, but it's still a high pick

I think that's a pretty good scenario, I think he's strictly a returner at this point

Let our young wide receivers develop and leave this guy alone. Let him go to the Raider or Lions or some scrubby team like that. Why do think the Packers let him go because they have young wide receivers who will be in the league for a while. We need to do the same.

I dont really consider him an upgrade from Crayton. That's not only a very sad thing, but it also means we don't need him.
