Who here thinks Ferguson will be our 2008 NT?

We need to start grooming his replacement. Or acquire it.

And no, as promising as Ratliff is, he's not it.

Nor are the two other pillocks we have.

Several times I've wondered about Ireland's post draft comments concerning the NT position. His easy dismissal of any sense of urgency to address that position either in free agency or the draft is interesting.

The suggestion that rotating Ferg and Ratliff and possibly Stanley without much expected dropoff in production is an assessment I doubt Purcells would have made.

If we get into December and Ferg starts wearing down like he did last year then we will know Ireland was blowing smoke. For now I trust the company line because I am an optimist. That doesn't diminish my long term worry about that position however.
