well just ask any panthers fan then. kemoeatu is the run stopper in carolina, the guy who takes on blockers. jenkins however is stritcly a pass rusher, just like shaun rogers from the lions and sam adams from the broncos. they're all big guys but for some reason everyone thinks they're run stuffers just because they're big.

I'm not disputing what your saying. I believe that Carolina is using him as more of a 3 then a 1. I'm just saying that over the past three seasons, Jenkins has only recorded 4 sacks, of which, three were last year. In years past, he was a guy who could be viewed as a good 3. Anymore, I don't know that it's true. Production does not reflect him as a good 3 is the point I'm trying to make.

Man, when that guy is in shape & on his game, he is a beast! The problem is, here we go again, talking about being forced to spend a high draft choice and big money because we didn't take care of the NT position in the draft. There were several good DTs left at the top of the 4th when we took Stanback, who will not even get on the field much his first yr. or two. Instead, we could have taken Paul Soliai, Marcus Thomas, Joe Cohen, or even Matt Toeaina at the top of the 6th rd.

The same goes for the top CBs in the last 3 drafts. We could have taken Antonio Cromartie last year, several outstanding CBs in the '05 draft, or even taken Marcus McCauley over James Marten, OT, this yr. Now look at the mess our secondary is in. I know TNew hopes to be back next week, but his is a freaky type of injury. This team has had plenty of time to draft good depth behind the two starters, but instead, they've held on to Reeves & Jones, who are just not NFL quality CBs.

Our offense is NOT going to score 45 pts. every game, mark it down. So, it looks like we're in the same mess we were in the last several games of last yr. In spite of a more aggressive approach to getting into the backfield, the only sack our defense laid on the Gints was from the backup NT. Nothing against Ratliff, I think he played one heck of a game, but our rookie OLB made our Pro-Bowler OLB look like the rookie last night. Spencer was all over the freaking place making plays. As usual, Ware ALMOST got there on several occasions. Unfortunately, almost only counts in horse shoes & hand grenades.
