My exact sentiments, Kristie. I was in shock after the game. I just sat there numb. I was ecstatic when Dez caught the pass for a first down, but it was downhill from there. Everything went wrong: bad time management, iced our own kicker, missed kick, lost coin toss, putrid defense, 7-5. I guess 5 wins in a row is too much to ask for.

I wouldnt be to upset Dallas even if they would have won out would have ZERO shot vs Green Bay.. that's what the ultimate goal is a superbowl and dallas isn't even close to that level.

This game didn't even deserve the effort and energy of a post game video. If the HC can't figure out how to call a time out at the appropriate time I won't be able to figure out how to plug my webcam in, if I was the type to make post game videos.

I know how you feel Kristie! I watched in disbelief after the timeout and FG miss. But then, I thought whatever, they will take care of biz in OT. Boy was I wrong! I immediately turned the TV off after that Cards TD to win the game.

Couple of younguns backin them up, one of whom might be able to start, if things fall a certain way. Questions.
Great WR's, but didn't have a 3rd one. Great TE, but the 2nd one is still a dope and the 3rd on is coming off ACL repair. An OL that's gotten old and slow, especially in two spots - replaced by a rookie and another guy who's good but getting old himself. A center replaced by a 2nd year UDFA who's played in one game. Another rook at LG because the guy who was supposed to be there showed up way out of shape, hurt his back and couldn't play for most of training camp. A LT we paid pretty well to keep around, but always seemed to think would ultimately end up on the other end of the line, so one of the rooks could take his place. 2 rooks, an 2nd-year UDFA, an old guy with bad feet, and a guy playing for the 2nd year at that position. Eventually changed out one of the rooks for a the fat, outta shape veteran we were gonna start the season with. RB's - a guy poised to take over, but had never been the lead dog...ever. An old dog cut loose. A wildcat - in more ways than one - and the biggest waste of a draft pick coming in (at least what some folks thought). Holes.
Holes. Lots of 'em. One, maybe two, you could hide. Not a half dozen. Or more.
Most of us, who were able to maintain some realism and objectivity, understood this. I'll bet you understood this as well. This is a mediocre team, maybe a little better. We have a great QB, who tries to do too much sometimes. A good stable of backs. A good group (when healthy) of WR's. A great TE, with a doof and guy making his way back from missing a year with an ACL. Sometimes a pretty good FB. A LOUSY OL. Way too many plays where somebody is getting beat, blowing up the play, or making our one true offensive superstar - Mr. Romo - make greatness out of thin air.
We have a beast of a WOLB. Wouldn't want another in his place. Other than that, we have a DL that can't get to the QB, along with the SOLB. Hey, stopping the run is great - and necessary - but teams throw on evey down, and we have a base defense that can't pressur the QB on early downs. One great ILB and two that need to pack up and walk out, along with a certain DB, who has made his followers proud, but is at the end as well. Couple of solid safeties, couple of solid DB's. Insufficiencies. Too many of 'em.
As for the backups...Lissemore, Brent, Albright, Butler, Arkin, Loper, McGee, Walker, Spears, Harris, Chapas, Lemon, Radway, Holmes. Who can know.
Get your eyes off the super bowl. We won't be there. We were never going to get there. We will get there someday, but there is much work to be done. We are on the right road, but the road is long.

I hear ya Kristie. I was worried about this game. I'm sort of glad I missed the end of the game. My 77 year old mom was cursing so bad, I thought her dentures were going to fly out of her head, so I could only imagine my reaction if I were watching. Hopefully we get a win next week.

Thanks Kristi, for showing a human side of a fan. Sometimes, it's better to throw it out there and then start to clean up the mess. But thanks for showig your despair, and sharing it.
We all love the 'Boys, so as the team, we all will search for a way to improve despite the disappointment. Kind of like in the battlefield where everything that happens will tear your heart out...you survive that and bring it back together. So is the NFL.
So, a 'Silver lining' here would be that in the NFC East, all other challengers: Washington, Philadelphia, and New York all in the past six games, have a record of 1-5. During that same time, the Cowboys are 4-2. And as disappointing as that game was at it's finish, and a win again within grasp, the Cowboys in the 4th slot for those playoffs, didn't lose ground to their competition. All is still within their own hands. And they will have to now blow two consecutive games to not gain upon that present situation. I'm still betting upon my Cowboys.
And if the team would get ahead at the start of games, then crisis management wouldn't then define the Cowboys. Simple as that.
