I'm excited about the win. However, I think it's good to be classy, and I want to give kudos to DeVito. The Giants QB performed admirably for his first start given his situation and given that he was up against our defence.

The kid took an absolute beating and he kept his cool as much as he could. I was actually happy to see him make a few plays. He should be proud just for surviving, given the odds.

Yup, and his first TD pass was a good pass. He didn't get many opportunities, and, as you stated, he took a beating behind the Giants oline. Despite that, he didn't make many crucial mistakes, and he made a few remarkable plays to avoid safeties early in the game. He should be proud of himself. He started his first NFL game for a team he grew up cheering on against a division rival with our defence, and he played pretty well given the odds.

Plus, I kinda felt bad for him late in the game. He was out there in a game that was long lost getting the tar beaten out of him because his coach wanted to "evaluate him more."

I graduated high school with his dad. Was very excited for them. He had zero chance to succeed yesterday. But even after getting beat-up all day he never got happy feet or looked rattled. Just hoping he can turn his opportunity into a career in the league.
