No point to signing him, he can only play slot corner, and when they play nickel Scandrick is going to be playing the slot.

He's a nice slot CB. Rumors already circulating he'll go back to NE on a cheaper deal.

Agreed. Sterling Moore played for the Pats too. Just sayin'.

Bring him in.

He is going back to NE so no need to get worked up over the idea of him coming here.

Bring him in. The more corners we get the better chance Byron Jones starts out at FS.

I think if Jones can play corner really well then that's where he should play. I wouldn't want a starting corner playing safety but that's just me....

Biggest thing that jumps out to me is everyone calling him highly intelligent. That screams elite FS to me. Not to mention being freakishly athletic.

Absolutely need to bring him in to alleviate the CB situation here.

Not a really good player, but at least provides some depth.

I think if Jones can play FS really well then thats where he should play. And I wouldn't want a starting FS playing corner. Works both ways.
Good cover safeties are harder to find. Stands to reason if you have a guy that can play both you'd start him at the harder position and see how he does. But only if you have enough depth at corner.

Is Jones a good tackler? If not, he's better off at corner.

Depth could be a problem...

I half always been a proponent of "bring him in for a look" castoffs that others do not want.

He can tackle just fine. He's not afraid of contact.
We have enough safeties that can't cover but can tackle. They're called strong safeties. I want a true FS that can cover first and foremost. He's got the speed and athleticism. I'd give him a shot if we feel decent with the depth at corner.
