Does anyone know when his rookie contract is up? I'm just thinking of good talent that could be brought in here to compete with Romo next year outside the draft.

He is still young with NFL experience, and put into a good situation with weapons has the potential to become a very good NFL QB...

Just thinking outside the box right now as I'm frustrated with out QB situation and what does the future hold for us at this position...

Boller might be an option to come in and compete - but there isn't any use speculating about these things unless someone wants to research who will be available next year.

As a resident of the greater DC/Baltimore area—and having seen the greater part of Kyle Boller's NFL resume, may I say...

Oh, dear God, no.

Steve McNair can throw 3 picks and lose a game against Denver (after the team has already struggled offensively since the start of the season) and not have the slightest whisper of QB controversy because everyone's relieved Boller's not out there.

I've been here longer then you've been a Boys fan, so if this is how you go about trying to get respect on a board keep going...

You mean since April 2004... You're right I haven't been a Boys fan that long:rolleyes:

You know nothing about me, don't pretend that you do.

What is this fascination with wanting to bring in players who suck?

Is David Boston still available?

Boller reminds me of Chad Hutchinson. A guy with the physical tools to be a good NFL QB, but not the background. Neither guy was lighting it up in the Pac-10 where they don't play defense.

Sure he could come in to compete, but if he didn't show anything in camp, then I would just cut him. I think there will be better choices or at least Dallas needs to make every effort to find better choices as far as free agents or trades. They need to draft a QB no matter what.

here's my opinion, stay inside the box. :D

Boller is horrible!

LOL...I probably should, but I personally think it takes three years to develop a QB in this league and he is not that bad. Looking at the first three years of most starters their numbers will be alarming...he is almost past that point now and may settle down into a solid QB.

I was thinking of someone to compete with Romo...not take the starting roll, unless he flat out earned it.

Trust me...I don't care enough about you to attempt such a waste of time.

Of course you would never know this, but their was a well established board before this one began...many TRUE members on this board were a part of that one...but then again...how would you know that???

This I agree with! I would still love to have as much young competition as possible.

Then why pretend like you know how long I've been a Cowboys fan?? Or that I care about post counts. Sounds like you think you know me.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander... you pretend to know how long I've been a fan.

And I don't care if you're a "TRUE member" or not. I call em like I see em.

To answer the question, Boller is signed through 2007. If he plays out his contract, he'll be a free agent in 2008.

Never understood why ppl who didn't like a topic would cry and post about it. Move on if you don't like a topic, and quit your *****ing.
