He might not be, but they were foolish to not see if he learned anything from sitting and watching.

I don't disagree with that take.

But management is starved for wins (to save their jobs) and they're prone to doing rash things.

He is the dummy who lost out by leaving Dallas. At least here he lost out on the chance of a superbowl ring. See ya loser.

You know what... He took a shot... Leading a team one more time.

I ain't mad at him.

Yep.

He is a very interessting person to me.
Seems he does not care what others say or think about him but does what is best for him.

We live In a world were companies (e.g. NFL franchises) are so powerful that they are able to inlfuence peoples values. They make people think they are good human beings if they are loyal and/or teamplayers. That being a person who acts in favor of others is in their own best interesst. But its not. It only a way for companys to get good "working bees" to maximize their own revenue.

Most people believe in that crap. I dont know much about Orton but it seems like he is someone who has himself emancipated form this. Seems like he has real character to me.

What is it with him and retirements?

Maybe he's hoping it will be the same as when Fartve kept threatening to retire.

Fartve would say he wanted to retire and other teams would throw money at him to not retire.

He doesn't care about a Super Bowl. He had a chance to start and almost brought his team to the playoffs. He played Jerry and won. Nothing wrong with that.
