Kyle Pitts

You pick playmakers - period! Pitts is a playmaker at the highest level. And his blocking is more than adequate. Believe it or not, the NFL is a pass/offense league. You take Pitts if he is there.

He gets mocked most NYG at 11.
Fans keep trying to push him to Dallas at 10 because offense is always fun and popular.

Pitts is a really good prospect as a split TE in 2TE sets and "could" grow into an in-line NFL TE1 over time.
The guy I compare him to is Aaron Hernandez. He's an elite WR in a TE body.
But his blocking technique is off the charts bad. He walls guys off and body blocks people.
He's willing but in the NFL he'd get tossed like a pinata trying to block a DE.

For Dallas Pitts would basically be competing with CeeDee for playing time.
You would/should see some 3WR and Pitts sets both generally only in 2 minute or all out pass sets.
For the most part in any base defense he's playing what amounts to slot.

But people gotta stop trying to compare this dude to Kelce or Kittle.
Those guys are elite blocking TEs who also happen to be insanely good pass catchers.
Pitts isn't at all in their class an an all-around TE... yet.

And I get the fan argument of hey just draft him, then trade Gallup.
But life doesn't work that way.
You lose pick 10 and pick up what a low 2nd early 3rd in 2022 draft? YUCK!!!
I gotta get this defense outta the cellar

If a guy is there and BPA by a mile someone should be willing to trade up for him.
Or was he really BPA?

At some point Dallas will need to follow the Ravens, Pats, Steelers and a few other teams leads. Those teams weight defensive players higher.
They draft some boring defender and then go finish top 10 in scoring defense again and no one bats an eye.
