The Dolphins could have two picks in the top 10 in next years draft.
But, do we really need him right now? To me, the answer is no. Woods is currently playing very well. An Aaron Donald type player would be great or an excellent SS maybe. But not a FS/CB right now.
Mikah will replace Heath, not Woods. They HAVE to do this if they can. No chance we get a safety like that with the 28th pick in the first round next year.
AND we get to play him THIS season.
Heath does NOTHING for this team. You get to take out the worst starter on our team and replace with a young pro bowl potential young stud.
He's already signed with Pittsburgh
They trade for him?
Man, it’s been done for awhile now.....
Yes. A first, probably a top 10 pick.
If Heath is so worthless, it shouldn’t be hard to upgrade. A low cost vet who’s being wasted in someplace like Detroit or Jacksonville or Tenny...
And there you have it. A first rounder from us would have been a steal.
Ill go with Wilson.
I'm just glad that he didnt go to Philly...……….they are really our only competition in the division.
aaaand they'll find a way to screw it up.
So much for that QB the Steelers needed.
The cowboys reportedly offered a 2020 2nd , 2020 5th and Taco Charlton for Minkah.
Compared to Pitt's 1st rounder?
Yeah, I would have laughed at that counter offer as well, especially Taco as a pitch in.....not even Miami wants that scrub
Their 1st and Taco likely would not have been enough to beat Pitt's 1st once it was announced Ben was done for the year. I'd say it's now likely Taco is released to make room for Quinn.
I'm not mad at it.
To beat Pittsburgh's deal we probably would have offered the 1st (instead of 2nd), a 3rd (instead of the 5th), and Taco and that seems like a lot.
My math assumes Pittsburgh is drafting around 17th (same as Baltimore last year) and we're drafting 27th (same as Eagles last year). The difference is 270 points or the value of a late 2nd round pick. So we throw in the 3rd (136 points) and we're still about a 3rd (134 points)short. Taco at 3rd round value is really ambitious of us. So honestly, probably would have needed to be a 1st and a 2nd, Taco included wouldn't matter at that point.
I love Minkah but I'm not sure I 1st-and-2nd-round-pick-love Minkah.
No kidding. That's gonna be a hiiiiiiiigh pick.
Risen’s CZ mock draft next year will feature 31 team owners complaining that they didn’t get to be the Dolphins.
I would do it for a 1st and a 6th rounder. I would throw in Taco just to sweeten the pot.
We are going to be drafting a DB anyways. So I don't see why we shouldn't try to get him.
