Jerry's "power" with other owners has always been about fear, not respect.

He's a powerful man who is used to getting his way and doesn't know how to act the few times in life he doesn't get his way.

Jerry Jones losing credibility, influence with owners over recent tirades
One source suggests Jones has 'at best' three owners behind him in his battle with Roger Goodell

Jerry Jones has long been painted as one of the most powerful men in sports. He has achieved a significant cache within the NFL in making the Cowboys one of the most valued commodities in all of global sports, but that is quickly eroding, according to numerous league and ownership sources. Jones' recent outbursts in public and in private, and his attacks on commissioner Roger Goodell, are being seen by his peers as a direct reaction to his anger of Ezekiel Elliott's six-game suspension, the sources said, and are diminishing his respect and influence among other owners.

Jones' threat last week to potentially sue the league and other owners over Goodell getting a new contract extension -- considered a foregone conclusion in league circles since the spring, when all 32 owners empowered the Compensation Committee to negotiate a deal without further approval required -- has angered fellow owners and increasingly isolated Jones. The sources suggest that "at best" Jones has maybe three other owners in his corner that Goodell should go, but is nowhere close to the 24 votes required to derail a process that is in essence already completed (pending just a formal signing and announcement, sources said).

In fairness............... La Canfora is one of the worst and his "sources" are notoriously wrong.

Thatta guy.

I bet he's a real scumbag, lowlife, eh? Go Cowboys.

He's an 80's Skins homer. Funny thing is he basically got ran off by the Skins because of his vendetta with Snyder.

All I ask for is accuracy in reporting and being accountable for that accuracy. Guys like LaCanfora, Werder, Schefter, etc....that just doesn't happen.

And in particular, if that source is coming from the commissioner or one of his cronies, people like LaCanfora and Peter King will run with it just so they can get access to Goodell in the future.

Let’s hope this ends in a suspension or at least fines like when he spoke out on equal TV revenue sharing.

How special would it be for Cowboys Football if Jerry wasn’t allowed at AT&T or The Star?

Surely the NFL won’t help our football operations that much. That would earn Goodells lifetime jet.

As long as the policy for domestic violence is #HerTruth opposition to Goodell will grow as teams experience their own star player suspended for no valid reason.

It's just not going to happen as quickly as we'd all like it to.

Wouldn’t it be great if you got a lifetime ban from our beloved board? That would awesome!!!

Explain to me why Cowboy fans support Jerry as our GM running football operations .

I’ve never known any Cowboy fans who do support this so I’d be curious as to why you wouldn’t be rooting for him going down???
