I think there's a difference. Parcells likely called the timeout to confer and determine whether or not PARCELLS wanted to go for the TD. Romo just basically overrode the Phillips and did what he wanted by waving off the punt team. Of course, there's the whole hiding issue and Colombo shrugging off Garrett's demand to replace him...

Manning waived off the punter in the playoffs, but he is peyton manning, he farts rainbows and pees win flavored koolaid so no one *****es when he does it.

When romo does it, our coaches are clearly fat push overs.

Parcells wanted to call the time out and Romo over rode him and ran the QB sneak for a TD there was not basically about it and afterwards people started holler oh he has moxie. Phillips could have callled the timeout as Romo was waving off the punt team he choose not to and this is not the only situation where a QB has waved off a punt team and the coach showed enough confidence in the offense to make the play. Hell Wade is going to catch hell no matter what from some. I will agree with anyone that Wade and this team need to win big this year for him to keep his job but I am on his side and not looking for lame reasons to slam the guy.

Although i agree with the thought that there is a lack of leadership from the Head Coach. I don’t like your examples. If anything, Romo wanting to go for the first down shows his leadership and confidence. I love that stuff.

Why would Ellis make this up (and he may have), but why? And ask yourself do you really see something like this as not remotely being possible with this staff?

Remember a staff that has already had to dump several coaches for not being able to get the job done. Not saying you're wrong, but I actaully take Ellis' side on this.
