As I lay awake last night unable to fall asleep like a young child on Christmas Eve. All I could think about is opening that one gift that I have dreamed about for 12 long years...A PLAYOFF VICTORY BABY!!!!

I started thinking about the most recent teams that have gone on a run like Dallas has since the Saints game. I came up with the Giants miraculous run at the end of the 07 season and throughout the playoffs and how great their defense was an how much love they got from analysts and the media. Then there was the Stealers err Steelers run in 06 and all you heard was how great that defense was and what an incredible team they are.

So why no love for this 09 Cowboys team? You look at their losses. Den (on an unbeatin streak), NYG x2 (shootout both times with fluke Jacobs screen play and unbeaten at the first meeting), GB (playoff team and IMO the scariest team in the NFC playoffs...next to the Cowboys of course), and finally SD (arguably the best team or hottest team in the NFL).
All of the Boys losses were to quality or playoff contending teams. They did not lose to the likes of OAK, like their opponent tonight.
Dallas' defense is playing lights out right now just like the SB Gints and SB Stealers....

Could it be? Could it be that we're back into the realm of the hated? That Dallas is no longer a punch line. That we are the football version of the evil empire again??

Man I am so excited about tonight!! GO COWBOYS!!!!!! TRIFECT DAT EGAL ARSE!!!

We won't be the evil empire again until we win a Super Bowl.

Agreed. Would you also agree that the way we're getting hated on by Faulk, Berman, ect ect reminds you of the Glory Days hate?

Actually, the Cowboys are getting some respect where I'm at. A lot of Houston talking heads have them winning today and a couple have them picked to go to the Bowl.

Even Jim Rome was praising the 'Boys the other day.
