``What happened in years past doesn't matter,'' McNabb said. ``This is a much better Dallas team. But we feel like we're still the best team in the NFC. We weren't able to get things going. We have to learn from it and move on.''
He's delusional. Yes, this is a good Dallas team, but the Eagles are not the class of the NFC. That mantle belongs to the Giants, Panthers, Falcons and Bucs.

I don't know . . . . Until someone knocks the Eagles from the NFC East and Divisional crown, they are probably still the top contender.

That said, without a healthy McNabb, they could be in some serious trouble the end of the season and going into the playoffs.

I'll believe that the iggles aren't NFC east and conf champs when I see it. Not sure any other NFC teams can be consistent enough to stay with them record-wise and keep them from home-field. They certainly aren't unbeatable as we proved but they are tough at home and rest assured they'll still be standing when the regular season is over.

Come on, Giants, panthers or falcons or Bucs are definetly not class of NFC. IN fact I just don't see a team that is class of NFC. On AFC right now it seems like Colts, but we got to wait to see how they end the season.

Eagles might still be the class of NFC yet. Just that Cowboys definetly were the better team today, no ifs and buts about it. Its one thing to get beat like they did against boys in 2003, but today was total domination.

I don't know, this Eagles team was blowing teams out last year. This year they struggled to beat the Chiefs and Raiders, like us they're keeping games close. We really exposed them today. I just don't see them as being an elite team anymore.

It reminds me of our teams in the late 90's when we started to trend downward.

He said something very similar when we beat them in '03 and then promptly came back and torched us in the 2nd game of the season. After several years of success, he has a right to be confident and unless they completely collapse (highly doubt it) then he can make those claims.

I think the NFC is WIDE OPEN.

The Iggles, Bucs and Falcons all lost today and the Panthers BARELY beat the Cardinals.

I think we're contenders right now.

I'm hoping this game proves to be the model on how to blow out the Eagles. Maybe we learned something from the Chiefs game. We most likely learned that you shouldn't give T.O. a 20 yard cushion like the Chiefs did.

Whether or not Philly will still be standing post season is key. They've had so much internal turmoil that a part of me doesn't see it. I also don't see the whole TO thing being over with too. He strikes me as the type that may purposely drop passes right smack in the middle of the season. That plus the health of McNabb could possibly be the demise of Philadelphia Eagles.

I don't know what you expect McNabb to say, really. And beyond that, he's entirely right in what he says. The Eagles have skins on the wall. This current group of Cowboys do not.

One good butt kicking doesn't knock them from the top spot in the NFC.

all I know is, I don't really care, we won, they didn't, so we dont' have to say anything, they do

Hell...the whole NFC East is contenders IMO...and that really sucks.

sorry, the the Falcons, Panthers, Bucs and Giants are not elite teams

I hate Philly, but McNabb didnt say anything out of line...they've had a bad loss or two most years in this run they've had and they still end up winning 11 or 12 every yr and have had 4 appearances in a row in the NFC Title game

when we were running roughshod over the NFC from 92-95 we annually had a clunker game here or there too...in 1992 we had a bad home loss to a bad Rams team...in 1993 we had the awful blowout loss on opening night at Washington AND a horrendous loss to the lowly Falcons...in 1995 we were swept by a bad Skins team...it happens...the good teams deal with bad losses and move on...good teams also know how to handle "good" wins (such as this week for us)...lets see how we play next week vs NYG before we do too much chest pounding

David

The Iggles are the best in the NFC East until they get knocked off. One game does not a season make. Maybe after we beat the Gints, the Skins! and the Iggles again the best might be a little more in dispute. But not now.
