Progressed very very nicely as the season went on imo.
Was always a top grader but his pass pro is getting way better.
Another off season and he should be a strength of this team.
A positive from a lost season?

There are a lot of positives from this season and stuff to build on. Don't let the doom and gloom sentiment in the air take that away.

Giving Tyron an off season to recuperate and resigning Cooper will give us a top 3 offensive line next season. There certainly are a lot of pieces to build on.

start looking for Smiths back up now

He's a better guard than tackle. I would like to see him moved back inside and draft another tackle or sign one in free agency.

There are many positives from this season and Collins is certainly one of them.

I’d be surprised if PFF has him better than average for the year overall. And it’s not like he’ll be cheap starting next year. He’s an average right tackle that’ll be making top right tackle money.

You gotta believe in player development.

He got better and better as time went on. He’s going to develop into a quality tackle.

If we kick him back into guard I’m fine with that but the game guy can play.

It’s possible he will but I don’t like that he’s already being paid like a pro bowler. This is a salary cap sport. If you were to tell me he’s a good tackle making average or below average money, I’d get excited.

I’m tired of the Jaylon Smith will eventually get there. I don’t give a crap about his personal quest. He’s a high 2nd round pick. He should already be contributing.

Collins is paid like a pro bowl right tackle. I don’t wanna hear how he’s improving and will eventually be good.

Collins, Smith, Dez, Witten. It’s not that they’re garbage players. It’s jist that they’re not outperforming the resources invested in them. That’s the problem with this team. 4 out of 5 offensive linemen will be getting paid.

Where are the bargains on the team other than the two rookie corners?

Yes, agreed. He'll be even better next year. In fact, I think he makes the leap up to the level of the other three. The big three become the big four.

He gets hurt every year.

I hope we bring in a veteran tackle and take a tackle/guard in one of the first three rounds.

I'd be okay taking a future starting RT if we thought someone was good enough, and put Collins back at LG

Doesn't matter with this coaching staff.

When will people realize this? After 10 fruitless seasons?

Our only hope is the players on the team.

If they play good enough we always have a chance.

We rush the passer well, we run the ball well, and we do a good job protecting the ball.

That’s a great recipe.

But you’re right.. Our coaches will do us no favors.

I watched him block Mack just fine. People can say "bad," "good," or whatever other emotional generalization they like but I will evaluate based on that.

He struggled with timing and hand placement early but he has the quickness, balance, and strength to be a pro bowl caliber OT in the NFL.

Pleasantly surprised with his progression this year. He was constantly blasted by lsu fans as an underachiever. He seemed to be finding his calling. They desperately need to find a swing tackle a guard during the off-season. Also think their gonna have to fix Tyron's back. Hoping it gets better on its on isn't gonna cut it again!
