Lamar Jackson requests a trade

Well if we can learn anything from this it is that agents do matter. Lamar seems like a smart guy, but even he has failed miserably up to this point on going at things solo. You can't represent yourself and you cant have a friend or family member do it, especially if you goal is to get as much as possible. Someone who can speak to teams on your behalf, and someone who can give you the direct feedback you need to hear and not just be a cheerleader for your personal goals is crucial.
 
What's interesting is he and Ravens both, are burning bridges but may have to kiss and make up in the end.

The Ravens clearly showed they were willing to play hardball with him since they did the non exclusive franchise tag. Now that they have clearly shown Jackson they are in the drivers seat in these negotiations, why would they possibly trade him now? I hope they dont trade him and I hope they force him to sit out or accept the 32 million. The teams are required to follow the CBA.... time to make these players follow the CBA.

I loved Zeke, but I would have let him sit the entire season when he held out. If every player that holds out gets what they want, its like negotiating with terrorists... it will make more people sit out.

Stay strong Ravens and put the screws to Lamar.

Prescott. It is close. Of course even if I chose Jackson, those pesky logistics matter quite a bit to make it a moot point.

All he is doing is making himself look more like an oft-injured drama queen who thinks he should be getting paid at a level teams are not willing to accommodate.

That tweet shows why he needs an agent. I wonder how the negotiating team reacts after Lamar walks out of the room or shuts down the zoom meeting. ....ugh

I thought they offered him a really fair deal that he turned down because it wasn’t all guaranteed. He killed his market and probably created a situation where they can’t trade him
He’s not gonna get a fully guaranteed contract

The non Franchise tag is showing Lamar what he is worth in the eyes of other teams.

this is the ripple affect of the Browns and D Watson...Ravens may be looking at that and saying "Nope", will be interesting. Also its probably not lost on teams like the Ravens who saw what SF did and they probably think they are a SF starter kit. Pretty smart in my opinion.

Supposedly, by Jackson's own recent tweet, Baltimore offered him a 3-year/$133M fully guaranteed deal....but he wants to exceed Watson's guaranteed deal....so he bet on himself and he is losing that bet.
