What he does is incredible, his quickness is weird, the cat has serious serious fast twitch. Hell, can he hang with Tyreek in a 40?

How many running backs have they had this season and all of them gain yards, why not just run the ball, yep...Army, Navy, Georgia Tech, just run the hell out of the ball. Jackson getting 15ish carries a game.

Hell, wildcat, single wing, get some TE's back there.

That Chiefs D was all beat up just like NCAA teams are after playing Army/Navy/Ga Tech.

Yes yes put those wide outs way out there, play some nine on nine.

Baltimore has some time before they have to figure out do you pay him once he hit FA or not? I think he is currently the most athletic QB in the league but I don't trust him throwing the ball.

Not sure what I'd do with this guy to be honest. I hate to say this I really do but......does he really get the game? Take away his amazing running ability there is noway he is an NFL QB, And how long can he do that running vs NFL athletes looking to WHAM!!!!!!!!

Lamar "Could go down at any time" Jackson and $$$$$, hmmm?

Eventually running QBs need to become passers. Even Vick realized that. All it takes is one bad shot and the coaching staff will have to re-evaluate the game plan.

Do see this guy being one of those oddities where things can be different, not unlike a Lawrence Taylor.

Eventually the hits add up, Michael Vick, Steve McNair, Randall Cunningham once the legs and speed go you better be able to at least move around in the pocket and pass the ball. Right now Ravens are running a high school offense one read either pass it if its there or run it.

Totally agree with that, but....when you have a guy like this all you expect to get out of him is 8ish years and you know this. None of that 14ish year stuff. Forget long range, try to win right now.

He's 24 right now the jets don't cool until around 30ish, so he has some time left. Ah.....if he can avoid injury and that is a very real....IF.

Needs to run smarter than he did vs Chiefs.

If I was a defensive coordinator let him beat with his feet. I think his game is the reason the Ravens did not get an extension done. Baltimore fans love his play style but it is not one of longevity if he does not learn to do more than one read and take off.

Like I said he is a rare athlete, longevity is not part of this deal. Do what you can to win right now, forget about down the road.

He gets a three year deal.

For 20-25 mil a year, I'd extend him, but he wouldn't accept that. Unlike any other position QBs will not sign for under market value coming off their rookie deal. I don't know why that is. No way would I pay Jackson 40 mil. a year. They could win with him at QB, but they're going to need a really good defense. Almost elite.

Nobody is going to pay the guy elite $$$$$ and he needs to know that. 25nill is it,

Can’t win a SB with him
To win a SB you have to beat 3-4 very very good teams so you have to be consistently very very good for several consecutive weeks

I don’t think he can do that

You really seeing him getting Mahomes/Wilson $$$$$?
I was responding to your statement that he wouldn't get more than $25M AAV. Jimmy Garoppolo gets $27.5M. Ryan Tannehill gets $30M.

Will he get the same as Mahomes? Maybe, maybe not. If so, only because it's a year or two later and the numbers keep going up. But I would think Josh Allen's contract would be a likely benchmark.

Right, but that's not how it's done with quarterbacks. If the team that drafts you extends your rookie contract, it's at or close to market value. Otherwise they trade or release you. There is no middle ground.

QBs that get paid like that typically get that extension after their 3rd season. That boat has sailed for Jackson. There are exceptions, Dak being one of them. Whether or not he follows similar to Dak remains to be seen.

Allen got his extension last month. Jackson and the Ravens are reportedly in extension talks now. Mayfield doesn't have his yet. We'll see what happens.
