It's so bizarre how people are so bent on criticizing Dak that they just make stuff up to complain about. Dak is the opposite of a dink-and-dunk QB and always has been. He was 6th in the league in air yards per attempt last year, and 2nd in throwing to or beyond the sticks on 3rd down. Anyone making the dink-and-dunk argument just instantly loses all credibility.

It's not about having a lead back. It's about being in third-and-short instead of constant third-and-long and also running the ball late in games to just work the clock.

You don't need Pollard for that.
I don’t think they are taking Pollard off that field. Passing downs, short yardage it’s gonna be Tony unless they bring someone else in.

How often they got to re-package the same story? The moment Moore got here, Dallas explosive play rate went up dramatically, to top 3 in the league.

As I said before, Gallup ran the most go routes in 2020,

https://insidethestar.com/michael-gallup-has-been-one-of-the-nfls-best-deep-threats-in-2020/

“Gallup leads the NFL in total go routes run with 71, and ranks third in the league in yards gained on deep receptions with 190 (on just nine total deep targets). Each of those 190 yards have been gained on go routes, with Gallup catching five of nine targets on such routes. Gallup has found the end zone on a deep target once this season, all while existing in a receiving corps that also includes Amari Cooper and rookie CeeDee Lamb, proving his ability to carve out a niche for himself among stellar teammates.”

You guys act like Dak is suddenly going to learn how to throw consistently against zone defenses.

So now they are selling the offense as aggressive, when Mike McCarthy was saying that aggressiveness kept the defense on the field, tiring them out and also led to Dak’s TOs.

"I think when you're a coordinator, you know but you're in charge of the offense. Being a head coach and being a play caller, you're a little more in tune with (everything). I don't desire to be the No. 1 offense in the league. I want to be the No. 1 team in the league with the number of wins and a championship. And if we've got to give up some production and take care of the ball a little better to get that, then that's what we'll do because we have a really good defense."

I have never thought Dak was a dink or dunk guy.

I do think when he is unsure he checks down to the TE

Last year the TE's were playing volleyball with the football so bad things happened.

I mean yeah, Dak can throw a nice deep ball on his first read against man coverage as most QBs can, but he’s a complete cluster bomb in reading defenses and processing the field. The guy’s situational awareness is one of the absolute worst in the league. He’s lucky he’s just had premiere OL blocking and RG to mask his warts.

Until you tell me Dak got struck my lightning in the off-season and gotten bit by a gamma radiated spider…

It's been tooooo long since they have seen their man-crush throw some interceptions or fumble the ball due to poor pocket awareness.
They are hurting watching him chase down the DE or CB who are taking his pass for a pick 6 while he's chasing them (Mouth breathing of course) looking lost out there.
Patience lads as 1 month from now big-headed Prescott with that deer in the headlights look about him will re-confirm to all how much this job is over his head........

Imagine Dak fans now spinning the offense “being much simpler”, when were telling us all last year all Moore did is run curl and comebacks, making it way too easy for the defense to read. And in essence, CeeDee is basically saying Dak couldn’t handle the offense of Moore, an offense that he had basically been running with Moore since 2019 and of which Linehan’s offense which Dak player under since 2016 formed the basis. How complicated was the learning curve Dak? What a ringing endorsement…And in order to be more successful, they got to pick up the pace per Lamb, as if Moore wasn’t doing that when Dak struggled….

Basically, Dak is not smart and he needs a dumbed down offense that tries to play quick and with pace.. things we’ve told you about for years…

Have you seen the clips of Deuce in training camp though.. guy is like half the size of everybody else.. can’t wait to see Dak sail passes over his head on game day right into the hands of DBs when he goes against real defenses and panics..

Haven't they led the leauge in explosive plays and offense before?
Again, Dak will throw on early reads, meaning the play calling is for it. His biggest weakness is processing and going through reads. If you get him off his first read, he’s awful. He states down his reads and because of that lose complete awareness of the rest of the field. He’ll go immediately to his check down and ignore everything else if the early read isn’t there.

Dak’s numbers against zone go dramatically down, unless it’s soft prevent in garbage time. He plays it extremely safe and is risk averse. When he was more aggressive last year, he was a walking pick 6. So yes, he is a dink and dunk QB. It’s not a mis-judgment.

The other point is defenses were backing up to take away the big play. They’d actually show at the line and drop back in coverage.

Also, if Dak is under center and has to drop back, they know they don’t have anything to worry about explosive plays anyways, because he can’t throw consistently from a 3-5-7 step drop.
