We need to know if he can the guy.........which is why Coop had to go. No way you can get a true answer trying to satisfy TWO No. 1 WRs.

Sign him now or later?
Is there a nfl rule that he can't be extended now?you mean 2023? Can’t sign him now. Extension in 2023 or 2024 or FA after 5. If he proves himself this year they should give thought to extending in 2023, but we’ve seen them wait until last minute a lot here lately. Some say draft a wr high next year to prep for letting lamb leave. Essentially treating wr like the rb position since it’s getting so expensive.

Not saying they should btw.
Lamb is under contract through 2023 and then will be have his 5th year option renewed for 2024. That’s 3 more years. I suspect they’ll extend him sometime during the 2024 season and don’t think they are even thinking about his contract right now

60 million for 3 seems high, but seems to be the going rate for an okay player with a name.
Thanksyes. That’s why the tweet says he’s ELIGIBLE for an extension in 2023. Remember zeke holding out after 3 seasons? Because that was the soonest he was eligible for an extension.
Cool, thanksYou have to play at least 3 seasons to get an extension. And no matter when he gets an extension, it doesn't start until 2025.

Lamb has not proven to be a true number 1 yet in my opinion.
He'll have the opportunity to do that this year.
