The legend of #88 continues!
The legend of #88 continues!
When Michael Irvin broke the previous record, it was done within a 16 game season. That's what it's been every season for the past 30+ years until the past 2 seasons when the NFL added 1 more game per season.to be fair if someone's going to make a post, shouldn't we put what yardage target, also add its an extra game ie always will be an asterisk now in fans minds with all these extra games going from 12-14-16- and now 17
I lie to see them break it say lamb get it at game 16 then its much more valid but if it takes the 17th game and barely squeaks by, not as impressive but great season anyway,
Michael Irvin has the most yards on receptions for the Cowboys in a season, with 1,603 yards in 1995.
Irvin was the better player, not even a doubt. He dragged the Cowboys passing game to super bowls. He drew all the coverage and attention and they still couldn't stop him.Different era. Hard to tell who was the better player.
Yep. The record books should state the number of games played in that season.

Pretty sure some franchise annals will list the three ecords for the three different season lengths (or make note of it under the new record if Lamb gets it).The people who are complaining about this are the same ones who complained when Mike broke the record in a 16 game season instead of a 14 game season.
I'm one of the biggest Michael Irvin fans around but he did also have Alvin Harper and Jay Novacek pulling defenders off him at times. Not to mention Troy Aikman throwing and handing off to the all-time leading rusher Emmitt Smith and the the best Oline in history. I think if Lamb breaks his record it should be considered pretty remarkable.Irvin was the better player, not even a doubt. He dragged the Cowboys passing game to super bowls. I wonder how many game Bob Hayes played, per season?.When Michael Irvin broke the previous record, it was done within a 16 game season. That's what it's been every season for the past 30+ years until the past 2 seasons when the NFL added 1 more game per season.
Bob Hayes played at a time when there were 14 games per season. During his 10 years(140 possible games) with the Cowboys he started 104 games and played in 128 games.I wonder how many game Bob Hayes played, per season?.
Lambs pace right now is over 1,800, so he has a good chance of breaking it in 16to be fair if someone's going to make a post, shouldn't we put what yardage target, also add its an extra game ie always will be an asterisk now in fans minds with all these extra games going from 12-14-16- and now 17
