Dak likes to spread it around instead of looking for his play makers. Made Cooper look horrible, got him traded for a 5th and he also has the fans questioning if Ceedee is any good. SMH
LOLLLLL

Dak literally saved Coop’s career after everyone was calling Coop a bust. That $20M/year contract never happens if he’s not a Cowboy.

Anti-Dakkers and their alternate reality.

Coop is great when he wants to be. Lack of effort with Oakland (over time), that trend continued in Dallas (over time) which lead to him being traded.

Forget about the yards.. he doesn’t catch tds either. He’s a 5 td a season receiver with all the weapons we’ve had. That’s kind of scary.

i mean all the weapons we had also scored tds lol it’s a zero sum game

After looking at the stats Lamb only had two 100 yard games last season. While many have always concluded that Lamb is a #1, myself included, this is kind of scary. In the final month he only had 15 catches total over 4 games.

The last time he scored a TD was against Atlanta back on November 14th.

The playoffs, 1 catch for 5 yards.

Just like RB a 1,000 yard season with 17 games is barely averaging 58 yards per game.

Food for thought as we go into 2022 season….

Lamb is a good #2 wide receiver. Amari Cooper usually had 2 people covering him. It's going to be interesting to see how Lamb does with accurate Dak throwing the ball to Lamb.

With Gallup out for awhile, my guess is 8 weeks but no one is talking about this. Operation was in February, it takes 8 - 10 months to recovery from the ACL injury.

Generally more weapons means less TDs for any particular player so this makes sense.

He actually had 3 100 yard games last year (games against Tampa, NE & Minnesota), and he had a 94 yard game and 3 games of over 80 yards. And he shared targets with Cooper, Gallup, Wilson and Schultz. He won't be sharing as much now, so we just have to see how he respond, but I don't see that his past is a negative.
The fact we had so many guys involved in the offense means you don’t have that one guy who a team can scheme to stop. I don’t see the problem with that myself
When you throw to the open guy that’s not a bad thing to me
Lamb will get more targets this year and have more catches
But overall I think they will still spread it around and for me there is no problem with doing that. To me it makes an offense more of a challenge when they can attack your weakness and you can’t load up to stop one guy
Moore needs to continue to grow as a OC and be more creative. We need to be able to run the ball more effectively
This season isn’t gonna come down to lamb having a certain number of catches or yards. This season is gonna come down to the oline being able to open holes for the run game, protect the passer and not give back as many yards, first downs and TD as we did last year with penalties

Dak spreads the ball out pretty evenly, if you really look at this objectively.

That's how guys like Cedrick Wilson gets 602 yards, with Cooper getting 835.

Also . . . Amari Cooper only had 2 100 yard games as well.

Lamb is a great #2.

It remains to be seen if he's a real #1.

Cooper took a lot of heat off the other guys. They're going to have to prove themselves.
This. Lamb has not shown he is a true #1. He does not have any elite aspects of his game that he’s shown in an NFL game yet on a consistent basis. Everyone keeps thinking he’s the same guy from OU who was a monster after the catch and thus far he’s not.

I don't know why we try so hard to devalue Ceedee. He was technically receiver #1 last year. The only question I have on Ceedee is if he will emerge as a top tier dominant #1 or just be a good #1 receiver in the top half of the league. Regardless Ceedee will be an important player on this team and we're lucky to have him fall into our lap.
Every team has to have a statistical #1 receiver. Just because you have the most yards on your team doesn’t make you a true #1. At best, as Emmitt would say it makes you a diamond among the trash.

For basketball fans, I always use the Chris Bosh analogy. When he was in Toronto people that he was an All NBA guy because he put up big stats on bad teams. He goes to the Heat and they have him stand in the corner.

Just because you put up big numbers doesn’t make you a #1. Right now CeeDee has not shown any aspect of his game is elite. Even Gallup is an Elite down the field jump ball guy (pre injury). Gallup is not a #1 though because his lack of focus on intermediate routes kills him.
