How is the Lambeau Leap not a celebration penalty? The guy runs around the end zone, tosses the ball into the stands and then jumps into the stands...

If that is not a celebration penalty I don't know what is.

The league officials have a double standard for sure and it really posses me off.

What is you guys take on it?

Give it a break

I didn't know that. Sorry guys.

To be honest the current NFL management is ruining the game. Before you know it they will be playing touch football and only handshakes are allowed.

I doubt Austin's jump was pre orchestrated. More a spur of the moment jump. Having two guys show the Hook em Horns getting a penalty is ridiculous.

It's not involving two players... How many times will this be brought up?

There is more to the rule than multiple players.

By the way it is written the Leap should be a flag.

The lambeau leap is allowed and is considered an exception to the excessive celebration rule..

Any end-zone celebration in which a player leaves his feet will be penalized. An exception is the Lambeau Leap, though that is restricted to the player who scored.

If it is good for one team it should be good for everyone. There should be no exceptions

It's called the lambeau leap, but any player from any NFL team can do the "lambeau leap" as a TD celebration. I know Texan players jump into the stands after a TD.

That is probably just the name given to the leap, kind of like the Eric Williams rule. Any player in any stadium can do it.

You don't read the rules well huh...

Better than you.

The word exception means it is against the letter of the rule but shall be allowed.

It's not a penalty because the NFL said it wasn't a penalty when the first started in with all those rules.

The Cowboys' Stadium version of the Lambeau Leap would have one of our players joining the good folks in a Bunker(?) suite for an adult beverage.
