This was my entire point on the Lance backup post . In certain situations Lance could spice up a dormant offense with a statue of a QB with very little to no mobility .

They *might* have done that before extending Dak.

Now I think Jerry wouldn't want Lance to potentially show up Dak. Dak is better than Lance. But in one game, where Lance can also run? Lance could look good and make Jerry look like an ever bigger dope for extending Dak.

It’s an indicator of a malfunctioning team and FO. You trade a 4 for a guy you sit for 2 yrs you bring back a RB who’s obviously not going to contribute to wins . Get the connection connect the dots ?

Obviously the front office doesn't do a good job, but did you really think Lance was a sure thing to take snaps away from Dak in the middle of the season while the playoffs are still a possibility? It was obvious that it was a gamble on his physical traits. It was with SF too, but they spent a high 1st round pick and Dallas only spent a 4th rounder.

You have to remember a football team doesn't just see and evaluate players on game day. What you see isn't all the coaches see. The fact he didn't do enough to earn the #2 spot should tell you he didn't earn regular season playing time.

Red Zone imagination juice up a series use his legs to extend plays . MM and Schottenheimer are terrible at the OC game .

I wouldn't mind seeing that, but they have limited spots for the game day roster, and he isn't the #2 QB who is guaranteed to be on the game day roster
