I think they will keep macfadden on nfi and he will miss the first six games of the season then they will make a decision on his future here.
[/QUOTE]I get what you are saying. But at the end of the day, how valuable is that?
To me, it is nice on paper but when it comes down to winning games, how many times has that specialist like Metcalf, Tony Galbraith, Ronnie Harmon, Larry Centers etc. been the difference?
I just think we are forcing the idea of him onto this roster before seeing all the options.
One of which could be Elliott, who I think is capable of being a real threat catching the ball.
Dunbar's magical three games last year were a product of necessity. The talent has grown up around him.
Last year we had a mental deficient as our lead back and an oft injured underachiever as our insurance.
For sure. He lined up in the slot last year.I think he will get snaps at WR this year.
I agree. I don't think Jackson has shown something that's gonna make some team snatch him up (well, unless it's the Patriots!). I think the Cowboys probably feel a certain loyalty to and comfort with McFadden after what he did last year, but he'll probably get the fewest carries.I think we the roster will be Elliot, Morris,McFadden and Dunbar. Jackson goes to PS and I don't think anybody takes him. I just don't see any logical reason to get rid of McFadden although I don't think we need him and I doubt he sees the field much. With Elliot already having a hamstring issue I think McFaden will stay. If Elliot had no issues they might have let him go but he is not costing Jerry much in the grand scheme of things.
