Lance Dunbar is pivotal to the team's running game

He has a posteriolateral meniscal tear so he's not running for awhile.

Is that what it is? I read PCL earlier, but now I'm hearing post lat corner, which typically mans that part of the meniscus, as well as maybe the capsule and some other secondary structures in that area?

Yea, that is typically a 3 to 4 month injury, especially if the PCL has been degraded as well since that would affect the stability of the knee.

So what do we do with the free roster spot once he goes on IR?

Which one would like to see? I liked Tanner but didn't he have fumbling issues.

I really would not trust either one late in a game...............either a fumble or freelance like in Detroit that causes a penalty.

I would probably go with Tanner if I had to pick one, I dont trust Randle in blitz pickup just yet for a rookie and Romo getting hurt ends our season.

You know, it could be a misprint or typo because posterolateral is fine but I've never heard a meniscal tear called PL Corner so.. A PCL is an injury you'd expect from a hyperextension but you can get one or both. We'll see. They never send me results of X-rays yada nor operative reports so I do a lot of guessing.

Don't know. They may want another RB but they may just go with Tanner and Randle as backups and bring in a DB, LB or DL which I think they need more.

I guess it depends on the mechanism. I had a kid a couple years ago dislocate his knee, and it took everything from the middle out. Nine different structures, and the lateral meniscus was one of them. We were taught that the meniscus was part of that corner. Regardless, if that's what it is, it's what it is. PCL, post lat corner, lat meniscus, whatever. He's still done for the year.

My guess is it is a meniscal injury. We'll find out.
