I mean, I am sure he is smart and all but this isn't a great example of it lol

"OMGz Cooper Rush is soooo smart!" Meanwhile the whole line is calling it out because they can count. It doesn't take an "actuarial genius" (Cooper) to count that there are more defenders in the box to the right and they have a numbers advantage to the left.

It really is as simple as that. Oh and Ocho is an imbecile.

Cooper made the check, not the line. Why try to dismiss that?

I do think this is where Rush has an advantage over Dak, but that's not a putdown of Prescott because I think it's where Rush has an advantage over a lot of QBs. He just understands the game. He sees what's going on and makes the right decision. The defenses aren't able to fool him very often.

Again, this was clear about Rush coming out of college, but you didn't know how he would do in games because of his limitations. He's showing that a high football IQ can overcome some of those limitations. Honestly, I don't think anyone was sure of that until now, though, because the opportunities haven't been there due to those limitations.

All that doesn't mean I think he should stay the starting QB. Limitations have a way of catching up with you in this game. But I do think he should stay the starter until they do catch up with him. This week is no big deal if we win with him at QB. If we lose, go back to Dak. If not, though, give him a shot against the Rams to show whether there should be a QB controversy.
You know what this tells me? It tells me that when Dak's on the sideline with the headset, he's listening to Beyonce.

his headset goes nowhere. He puts the wire plug in his pocket so people will think he's involved. smh.

Rush did say though, Dak tells him what he sees the defense is doing and Rush does the complete opposite. :)

This is what you do. You’re a very passive person. You hate passively….you’re trolling passively but it doesn’t work. You gotta commit to it.

How does one hate when that is based on emotions and I am not emotionally invested in any player or team? Again, stop projecting.

I personally think Cooper Rush is the greatest Quarterback in NFL history
Kill the messenger...said the queen. And make SURE to exaggerate the message so it looks like she killed the messenger for a good reason.

With all due respect, it’s not that amazing for a QB to check into a counter blitz play. Dak does it pretty well.

Like the video though, good football 101, and also how he shows the teamwork aspect. All it takes is one of those guys to get his assignment wrong and Cooper goes from genius to class clown. Cooper saw it but we should be giving the coaches credit for preparing the team.

Like watching the communication from Peters. Very happy we brought him onboard. Always loved these smart old school linemen that contribute another year or two to a young team.

Because he was an unknown unproven entity who brought no name recognition to the fans. We are fans for a reason and the coaches are coaches for a reason.
He’s proven many wrong including myself
He’s playing smart football and Moore is calling a game that fits his abilities
I kinda hope we keep it similar even with Dak back
Run the football and use play action for your chunk plays
It’s a proven method of winning games

Rewatching the game and just saw a good example when your quarterback doesn't do that, the Wilson blitz. Wilson was coming unblocked off the left side. Jones has to recognize that and either adjust the blocking, audible or get that ball out quickly to whoever the uncovered receiver is. He does none of that, but instead drops back not even looking to Wilson's side and starts surveying the field before finally seeing Wilson coming when it's too late. That sack is on the QB. The tight end had two players he had to choose between blocking (and ended up blocking neither) because the QB failed to recognize what was coming and adjust the protection or play.

I think that poor kid had just given up by then. Playing street ball at that point. Snap and run for your life every play!
