Is this site actually legit, if so i'm going to buy an acre for the heck of it :laugh2:. It sounds legit, but I can not verify it, however who knows maybe in a century or two it'll be worth millions.

Basically what happened is some guy stood up and said "I hereby declare myself the sole proprietor and owner of the moon, and unless the governments of the world and the United Nations challenge my declaration within 30 days, it becomes legally binding!" Naturally, everyone ignored him so he claims his declaration is now legally binding, which is ridiculously absurd. Of course, to complicate matters, there are actually several people who have made identical claims - and they didn't stop at the moon. You can also "buy" real estate on Mars and other planets or celestial bodies.

You'd be better off declaring yourself the owner of the sun and then start billing everyone for all the energy you give off.

An afternoon's worth of work and a couple web pages of faux-legalize is hardly a lot of effort to swindle hundreds of dupes into just giving their money away.

You seem determined to waste your money, which is certainly your right. If you want to spend $18 on a fancy-looking but otherwise worthless piece of paper, more power to ya. But rest assured that not a single court in any country, nor any international court, would ever recognize your "ownership" as legitimate.

BTW, what in the world makes you think property on the moon would ever go up in value? Do you think people are going to be living there sometime in the near future?

My friend, it's been over 30 years since we've been up there and there are no plans to go back. I'll be amazed if anyone on this board lives to see another man on the moon, to say nothing of there actually being colonies.
