I’ve seen it reported today that the Giants will NOT franchise tag him. He won’t come cheap but I think he would cost significantly less than what Earl Thomas is reportedly looking for. Younger, cheaper, less injury prone and a big upgrade for our secondary if it were to happen.

True, so in some ways it’s apple and oranges, but I still think that long term he is a big upgrade for our secondary and in some ways it’s money better spent rather than over paying for Earl.

Because they’re idiots? I’m pretty sure he missed a good part of this season due to some sort of injury but he’s also a pro bowler and all pro who could help us. He’s also young, like 24-25, I remember him pretty well from his Alabama days and I’m not even a Tide fan.

Collins is a stud but we need a ballhawk. Heath and Woods competing to be the one guy who lays wood but misses tackles while we solidify FS would improve this D more than anything.
