Laquon Treadwell ran 4.65 at Pro Day

Yep. Dallas is devoid of talent in plenty of positions and this kid can play receiver a lot better than T-Will.

Stated as such, that's your opinion...no problem then.

Between you and me, he won't be on a Dallas roster this season...or I'll buy you pizza for a year.

I am a big Pizza fan! :)

But I agree that he will not be on Dallas's roster.

Me too, I love Pizza Hut crust fills with extra cheese topping, and a combination of meats w/ pineapple, peppers, onions, black olives...and plenty of Coke/beer

#4 is too high for Treadwell but if he's there in the 2nd round which he won't be....but if he is? You take him. How on earth is having 2 Dez's a bad thing lol?

:hammer:- which he won't be. I would love a DT at this spot BUT if, for the sake of the thread, he is there at #34 you grab him and still look for a speed WR in the later rounds like the kid from TCU.

Treadwell's game is not build around speed - he's a possession guy through and through.

I think he's going to have a long career in the league. If he somehow slipped to #34 (not gonna happen), you take him and play him opposite Dez and you could have even Dak Prescott rack up stats.

Hahahahah

I don't know if he's dez or not

But yeah...we shouldn't have any interest in getting another dez...how dumb that would be

Funny stuff here. Why the Hell would we need two Dez's, way too much firepower in the redzone would be a no no obviously.

I don't see how that's a player? Neither are speedsters. Neither were Brandon Marshall and Jeffrey's and they had no problem. Fitzgerald and Boldin didn't have that problem. t just don't see how two players who could potentially both require double teams is a bad thing. I don't believe this notion that you need your two best receivers to have two different skillsets.

Now i'm not saying i'd take him with our #4 pick. That's too high for a team that already has a star receiver. But if in some way he was to fall......I wouldn't stay away from him because he's too much like Dez. He's too much like a top 5 player in the league? I'd sign up for that problem.

Both Fitz and Boldin ran 4.7s

If Treadwell is there at 34 he is likely BPA by a wide margin.

As far as need people forget Williams is on the last year of his contract. I wouldnt say that a starting caliber WR is not a need

Certainly Boldin. Fitz was closer to 4.6

But yes, all it does is add some risk, there's no doubt that a 4.65 guy can still be an NFL star. The probably is just a bit lower.
As long the guy is extremely skilled and very physical, he can definitely overcome it.

So they would be even slower than Dez and Treadwell lol.

When people talk about vertical WRs they get caught on on speed. Dez, Fitz and Boldin as well as guys like Marshall and Jeffery are all deep threats despite all being in the lower tier in timed speed because they have excellent size, body control, jumping ability and concentration. All just as important as pure peed

I would definitely be on board if they took Treadwell in the second. I would much rather him than Nkemdiche, that's for sure.

Treadwell has a scheduled meeting with Dallas, we'll see how that goes...

Does he consistently run in that time range or was it just a bad day?

It's probably legitimate for what he can do. Treadwell wasn't exactly a burner, even before he broke his leg, and made his living by being very physical and making contested catches.

And, it's not like his times were any slower than what Michael Irvin, Cris Carter or Jerry Rice ran. Speed is not the only attribute needed to succeed as a WR in the league.

And, no, I'm not saying that Treadwell is in the league of Irvin, Carter or Rice.
