LaRon Landry calls Roy Williams scared
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on November 23, 2009 2:20 PM ET
Roy Williams short-armed so many passes against the Commanders Sunday, Fox actually ran a lowlights package of his afternoon. (That's more embarrassing than getting pantsed.)

Lurking in the foreground of Williams' weak efforts was Commanders safety LaRon Landry. Asked what he thought about Williams by the Commanders website, Landry said the Cowboys receiver looked "scared."

"Yeah. I know he was. Y'all can quote it, too," Landry said Monday. "Y'all can tell him right now, tell him I'm sayin' it. I can say it right now: yeah, he was scared, I think. I told him he was scared."

Williams' reaction to Landry wasn't shocking. He had none. He didn't have any catches in the game either. Cowboys offensive coordinator may not want to bother sending Williams over the middle any more.

"Certain routes he ran, you could tell he didn't want any part of it," Landry said.

It is one thing for Zoner fans to call RW out, however when RW is called out by an NFL player then it takes it to a "whole natha level" of validity.

The little scumbag should be talking to his own wide recievers about being scared, they didn't come anywhere near scoring a TD the whole game.

And what if they won? Would it be any more or less valid of an allegation?

I Think the dallas cowboys are ''too big'' for Williams. He's having a hard time handling the pressure here. nothing like detroit.

regarding what landry said, idk wuts more pathetic...? him saying this after his team LOST. or Williams really beeing scared?

I'll remember that next time Bradon Jacobs mouths off.

Is his ribs still hurting? If so, I don't think you can blame the guy. But for someone with hurt ribs he sure leaves them exposed going for some of those high throws Romo gave him yesterday. Either he has a lot of heart or those ribs aren't hurting him.

Let's see,,,,, can't catch a pass over the middle, doesn't look back for the pass on deep routes,,,, all that's left is the WR quick screens, and we've already got a UDFA that runs that play well.

Landry is a big hitter, but he's not having a good year. Landry is part of the reason the Skins stink. Last year he played like a probowler; this year he's missing tackles and was roundly cajoled by the announcers during the Atlanta game...he was absolutely awful. And he keeps giving up the deep pass.

Lots of talent, and right now, this year, just lots of hot air.

Roy Williams had cracked ribs, thanks to a high Romo pass; he's playing, but anyone who thinks cracked ribs simply calcify and heal up in a few weeks is dead wrong. He'll go across the middle, but if he has to go up for Romo's high balls, I'm certain he's going to be aware of who's in the area...any receiver with broken ribs would be.

Yea if we cared about what opposing fans thought of our team than this whole team is a bust according to Brandon Jacobs lol.

I think it's clear as day he's "scared" and playing with zero confidence right now.

Pretty sure this has nothing to do with his claim. He's right, Roy Williams looked scared as can be. As he looks every single time he gets thrown at with people around him ready to hit him.

It's football. He's big. He thinks he's good. Its sickening watching him, and it sucks even worse because I gained a lot of respect for him after I met him and talked to him last year.

Hey, I just remember the pass over the middle that RW got both hands on......Landry was going to be bringing the lumber.....maybe RW is a little scared going accross the middle?

Hey, I hope RW comes through for us.....however, we have ALL read/seen numerous NFL players say negative things about his abilities.....and where they are smoke.....well.
