Guyton was in for a spell and looked like a turnstile…..
hes also a rookie with a offensive line coach that would be fired on any other team.

Lets not always forget facts.

Big Hint, hes not the one who put him on the field and basically told, i suck at my job just do the best you can, learn as you go

I mean seriously, you Aven , im sure are so intelligent, what were they playing for? What was the goal of the team this year? What did you want, a plug n play player? to do what? go to the playoffs this team had no chance of being in?

Lets plug in more factors than we usually allow on this board.

Granted it was an extremely tough matchup, but Brock Hoffman looked like he didn't belong in the league as a starter last night. How he rebounds in another tough game this week will be interesting to see. Hes a guy with a lot on the line these last two games.
I'm not ready to cut him and start over. He had a bad game. Really bad. Every guy on the line did. Every one. When you grade a guy, judge his whole body of work. You'll find that Hoffman is definitely a guy to hang onto and groom. He's tough, competitive and affordable. And now he has experience. He'll be even better next year.

We got owned physically. And it was not just Vea as all the excuse makers are trying to say
Gives more cred to C.Rush performance
Did it this week without a run game
Added a number of deep balls nicely.
Didnt panic, well 1x....
Went thru progressions
And helped produce a win

D steps up big w/o turnovers by the O

The issue with Hoffman is he is a free agent at seasons end so you have to make a decision. I like the player, I really do, but I think there is a good chance he commands starter money given his stretch of good play over the last month or so in addition to his position flex. The Cowboys dont have a ton of money to gamble on players with this offseason so you really need to be sure on the guy. If he is still someone you still have to groom I might move on if I'm Dallas. I've already got multiple guys who need groomed on this unit. How he rebounds this week should be telling on where he is in his development and if hes someone you can pencil in as a starter for 2025 or not.

TB got off blocks & made the tackle immediately & with force. Literally just play that to anyone as text book teaching material.

It was IMPRESSIVE!

It was a tad premature to plug a RT in college to play LT. What could we do picking at the end of the 1st round? He does have athletic ability having said that. He’s just not ready for 17 games yet. Hopefully that changes next season

i never had faith in our offensive coaches

however, if any of them and by them i mean JJ had sense and we know he doesnt

it was a wasted year, throw it away and play guys and get them experience and thier own positions and try to be better for next year.

even with the remanimg games meaning nothing im afraid they wont do that.

but there is no one pplayer in any draft getting us over the hump any time soon. It wasnt the best number 1 pick but far from the worst in my opininion

I never felt so bad for a player like I did for Ferguson when he got chased and blindsided by Vea. He didn’t know what him. Remarkable play by Vea. Why can’t we find guys like that in the draft?
Because we win games late in the season after the playoffs are out of reach, thus forcing us to draft so late in each round the following draft, thus keeping such players like Vea out of reach.

But, hey, let's keep trying to win just for feeling's sake even if it hurts us come draft time. SMH
