Late game thread

When you have your future QB, as SF firmly believes, there's no need to tank for them. They want to see positive development for the rest of the season. They could give a damn about top ten vs. top 15, if it means their new, young QB is good :)
you have to learn how to win sometime. why not now?

I wish we had the Pats luck. How do they get so lucky year after year?

It's not luck. They cheat. Wouldn't shock me to find out they are still cheating to this day someway. Intercepting teams headphone signals..knowing their plays.

I mean...they got busted for sneaking into another teams practice and video taping them.

Deflategate...

They are not lucky...not by a long shot.

It is not a common known stat. You made it up. If you didn’t, simply provide the list of leaders on the NFL career negative rushing yard list. Because if there’s a number one, then there has to be a number two.
Now, I know you didn’t make it up, but it’s basically just an urban myth that has no evidence backing it up. Because I’m pretty sure if there is a leader in this imaginary category, it would be Emmitt himself. Not because Emmitt was prone to go backward more/less than average, but because he carried the ball over 4400 times in his career - by far the most in NFL history and almost 1400 times more than Sanders.

336 carries for minus-952 yards.

wow it's literally the exact same as the Dez play, the NFL has done nothing to clean up the rules

Why should they??? It's one of their tools to determine the outcomes of games. The league is all about control...who wins..and who loses. Why don't you think there is full time referees? That would mean a referees union and loss of power to the league.

This makes sense. I bet if it was the other way around, Gronk reaching for that TD and there wasn't full control, they'd probably leave that as a TD. Oh well.

shocking the amount of so-called experts on twitter who think the goal line matters

It should be a catch, but the goal line/breaking the plane has nothing to do with it because he wasn't an established runner

It is different to a running play when reaching out and a catch so close to the goal line needs to be completed or it is incomplete regardless of breaking the plane of the line.

If it was a running play it was a TD all day long and the call was correct via the current rules.

Steelers can suck on it to the frauds gifted by a dream schedule and rubbish division.

THe NFC West suddenly has 3 good QBs and the Cardinals will probably draft one next year.

Dez did not catch the ball because that goofball was reaching for the endzone before securing the ball

he never had control.
