Late game thread

just a friendly reminder of why you always celebrate anything bad happening to Pittsburg.

What do they call a person who said it exists because Yahoo answers said so? A Yahooligan?

It exists because I'm old enough to remember when it was a thing mentioned during every Lions game Sanders ever played.

Another made up stat: Adrian Peterson has 254 carries for minus-559 yards.

At the end of the day the Steelers were screwed just like Dallas was and now we get to have Steeler fans whine for the next several years about that play. Could be the difference in home field advantage and a super bowl run. BTW, I don’t feel bad for the Steelers at all, screw them.

I remember the local Steelers fans getting a big chuckle out of "Dez caught it"...they're not chuckling tonight. :muttley:

No matter what, if you are going to the ground on a catch, you have to maintain control through the ground. If you have already established control and the ball comes out after crossing the plane then it is a TD.

The NFL rule book disagrees with you. I don't like the rule, but it is what it is.

Wait... are you saying what I was saying earlier? The constant comments of what could Barry be with a real OL? Or am I just lost in this rabbit hole?

I found an actual (not official-so, doesn't count) list. I noticed Emmitt only had (made up, of course) 221 negative carries in his career.
Probably most of them in his two years with Arizona... lol

You do realize 3 of those 5 SB's were under Jerry the GM/Owner? He has really crap on us since Jimmy, but he did hire Jimmy.....

Yeah, and the Raiders won 3 SBs under Al Davis. They did nothing the last 25 years of his run as he gradually went senile. Seem familiar?

Is that what we want?

Wait... are you saying what I was saying earlier? The constant comments of what could Barry be with a real OL? Or am I just lost in this rabbit hole?

Well, I was initially just stating what I thought everyone already knew... but... yeah, basically, I agree with you.

The worst one all year that the NFL never admitted was wrong was the Shepherd catch in the end zone vs Eagles.....catch, no bobble...3 steps in end zone, lose balance out of bounds, Foot taps OB, drop ball when body hits OB....incomplete, like the play didn’t end with 3 steps in bounds and didn’t end when foot tapped OB.....insanity!
